SP of 10 pencils=CP of 11 pencils
Let CP of each pencil be rs.1
So, CP of 10 pencils=rs.10
SP of 10 pencils=rs.11
SP is greater than CP
So, there is a profit.
Profit=11-10=rs.1
Profit per cent= (1/10*100)per cent=10 per cent

Concept of Law of Diminishing Marginal Utility
Law of Diminishing Marginal Utility (DMU) states that as we consume more and more units of a commodity, the utility derived from each successive unit goes on decreasing. People spend their income on various goods because consuming more and more of any one good reduces the marginal satisfaction obtained from further consumption of the same good. Law of DMU has universal applicability and applies to all goods and services.
Assumptions
- All the units of a commodity are same in terms of size, quality, design etc
- Unit of a good must be standard
- No change in taste
- No change in the price of substitute goods
- Continuity in consumption.

The simple present tense uses the same verb form as the root form of the verb. We use the simple present tense in the following conditions:
- To show a fact or something that is always true
- For activities that we do daily -regularly or habitually
- To express thoughts, feelings, opinions and beliefs
- For a planned action or an event that will happen in the future
- We use this tense with a few adverbs to indicate something that happens rarely
- We use it in news, reported speech such as in sports commentaries, a narration of books and stories etc
- For schedules, plans and programmes

Griffin was a lawless person but by profession he was a scientist. His landlord disliked him and tired to get rid of him.In revenge griffin set fire to the house and ran away. He had no money and so he stole and robbed people after becoming invisible. When je went into London store, he gave himself the pleasure of clothing. He fed himself without regards to any expenses. Such a behaviour is never expected from a scientist. He also robbed the shopkeeper at Drury Lane and robbed in of whatever he could find. When he exhausted all his money he had stolen, then again he robbed a clergyman. He even attacked the inn keeper and his wife. Later when the police came to arrest him,he threw off his clothes and became invisible and ran away. One who doesn't obey law and fails to behave properly, he is surely a lawless person.

R = {(a, b) : 2 divides a – b}
where R is in the set Z of integers.
(i) a – a = 0 = 2 .0
∴ 2 divides a – a ⇒ (a, a) ∈ R ⇒ R is reflexive.
(ii) Let (a, a) ∈ R ∴ 2 divides a – b ⇒ a – b = 2 n for some n ∈ Z ⇒ b – a = 2 (–n)
⇒ 2 divides b – a ⇒ (b. a) ∈ R
(a, ft) G R ⇒ (b, a) ∈ R ∴ R is symmetric.
(iii) Let (a, b) and (b, c) ∈ R
2 divides a – b and b – c both ∴ a – b = 2 n1 and b – c = 2 n2 for some n1, n2 ∈ Z ∴ (a – b) + (b – c)= 2 n1 + 2 n2 ⇒ a – c = 2 (n1 + n2 )
⇒ 2 divides a – c
⇒ (a, c) ∈ R
∴ (a,b), (b,c) ∈ R ⇒ (a, c) ∈ R
∴ R is transitive
From (i), (ii), (iii) it follows that R is an equivalence relation.

In a democracy, the government is formed after elections. After the elections, a list is prepared which indicates the winner of each Lok Sabha seat. These winners become the Members of Parliament (MPs). The political party with the majority of these MPs forms the government. Since there are 543 seats in Lok Sabha, a party must secure at least half i.e. 272 seats in Parliament to form a government. Sometimes, no single political party is able to win 272 seats on its own and get the majority to form the government. In that situation, two or more political parties with similar concerns join together to get the majority and form a Coalition Government.

Throughout his life, the peddler had never known respect. He was always treated coldly by the world. For the first time in his life, he was honoured and respected as if he were a captain. Even after the truth was exposed, the daughter continued to treat him in a similar way. The way he was treated encouraged him to behave in a like manner. He signed the letter as Captain von Stahle so as to underline the impact of Edla's goodness on him.

Universal Adult Franchise means the right to vote should be given to all adult citizens without any discrimination on the basis of caste, colour, creed, *** or religion. There should be no qualifications property or education and others. Only lunatics, minors, bankrupts, criminals and aliens are deprived of the right to vote. The age of adulthood differs from country to country. For instance it is 21 years in America, 18 years in India and England and 23 years in Norway.
In a democratic country like ours there is much significance of adult franchise because equality is the basic of democracy.
