A political competition may have many limitations such as it can results in factionalism, disunity and use of dirty tricks to win elections. However, free competitions in elections works better in a longer run. Many political parties prepare their manifestoes in which they point out steps that they will take after they come to power. The voter is in an advantageous situation as he can assess the manifestoes and party policies and decide the party to which he/she wants to vote. In any democracy, elections are based on political competition and absence of competition hampers the working of democratic practices or institutions.

'Battle of Buxar' was fought on '23 October 1764' between 'British East India Company' and various Mughal emperors. The British army was led by Hectro Munro and the Mughal army was led by Nawab of Awadh, Qasim Khan and Mughal emperor, "Shah Alam".
The battle was fought in Buxar, which is a territory of Bengal. It is situated on the banks of Ganga River. It was a decisive land for the Britishers. Mughal forces outnumbered the British forces.
Mughal army has over 40000 men while Britishers were only 10000. Due to the lack of coordination between the Mughal emperors they lost the battle severely even after having such a huge army.

The factors responsible for the decline of the Roman Civilization are as followings :
1. Wars and Luxurious Life : Repeated wars and conquests bent and broke the back of democracy. The luxurious and easeful way of living demoralised the ruling class.
2. Slave Revolts : The number of slaves had out numbered the free men. They grew rebellious and could not be quelled by the ruling class.
3. The Weakness of Emperors : The Roman emperors being incompetent and weak could not face the invaders.
4. Spread of Christianity : The Christian religion gave meassage of love and equality. It weakened the rule of emperors since it created rebellions feeling among the slaves.
5. Raids and invasions : Invaders and raiders shattered the Roman Civilization.

Mesopotamia (Arabic: بِلَاد ٱلرَّافِدَيْن Bilād ar-Rāfidayn; Ancient Greek: Μεσοποταμία) is a historical region of Western Asia situated within the Tigris–Euphrates river system, in the northern part of the Fertile Crescent, in modern days roughly corresponding to most of Iraq, Kuwait, the eastern parts of Syria, Southeastern Turkey, and regions along the Turkish–Syrian and Iran–Iraq borders.[1]
The Sumerians and Akkadians (including Assyrians and Babylonians) dominated Mesopotamia from the beginning of written history (c. 3100 BC) to the fall of Babylon in 539 BC, when it was conquered by the Achaemenid Empire. It fell to Alexander the Great in 332 BC, and after his death, it became part of the Greek Seleucid Empire.

The post-Soviet states, also known as the former Soviet Union, the former Soviet Republics and in Russia as the near abroad are the 15 sovereign states that emerged and re-emerged from the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics following its breakup in 1991, with Russia being the primary de facto internationally recognized successor state to the Soviet Union after the Cold War while Ukraine, by law, proclaimed that it is a state-successor of both the Ukrainian SSR and the Soviet Union which remained under dispute over formerly Soviet-owned properties.
