Heron's Formula -- An algebraic proof

where b is the length of a base and h is the height to that base. There is at least one side of our triangle for which the altitude lies "inside" the triangle. For convenience make that the side of length c. It will not make any difference, just simpler. Heron's formula computes the area of a triangle given the length of each side. If you have a very thin triangle, one where two of the sides approximately equal s and the third side is much shorter, a direct implementation Heron's formula may not be accurate.

We are so lucky to get a solvent like water which dissolves solutes of a great range -----both ionic and covalent compounds. The polar nature of water and it's ability to form hydrogen bond help it to dissolve the solutes of vast range.

This ability of water directly linked with the existence of life. When we define life we try to provide some distinguishable properties of it ,among them Metabolism is well pronounced . Metabolism is net outcome of all the reactions that are taking place in a living object . All these reactions provides the living being a non-equillibrium state which is actually necessary for a living being to be living. And water provide the medium for all these reactions .It's the vast range of solubility in water that enable it to provide the arena of metabolic reaction.

The cytoplasm which is also called the Arena of cellular reactions is nothing but water with so many dissolved and suspended particle.

Actually no life could even be originated if there was no dissolving property of water. We have evidences that proves that water hosted the first life on earth.

No we don't drink sea water because it's salty

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 4 months ago (2577571)

No, Seawater is toxic to humans because your body is unable to get rid of the salt that comes from seawater. Your body normally gets rid of excess salt by having the kidneys produce urine, but it needs freshwater to dilute the salt in your body for the kidneys to work properly.

A diagram used to represent all possible relations of different sets. A Venn diagram can be represented by any closed figure, whether it be a Circle or a Polygon (square, hexagon, etc.). But usually, we use circles to represent each set.

In the above figure, we can see a Venn diagram, represented by a rectangular universal set, which has two independent sets X and Y. Therefore, X and Y are disjoint sets. The two sets X and Y are represented in the circular shape. This diagram shows that set X and set Y have no relation between each other, but they are a part of universal set.

The given number 704969 can be written as 704,969 Take the last group i.e. 969 The last digit of perfect cube is 9. So, the last digit of the cube root is 9. Therefore, the rightmost digit is 9. Now take the next group i.e. 704. To find the largest cube number we can subtract from 704 so that the result is ≥0  We can subtract 83=512 from 704, because 704−512=192≥0 (If we subtract 93=729, we get 704−729=−25<0). Thus, the next neighbour digit of the answer is 8. Hence, 3√704969=

The given number 704969 can be written as 704,969

Take the last group i.e. 969

The last digit of perfect cube is 9. So, the last digit of the cube root is 9.

Therefore, the rightmost digit is 9.

Now take the next group i.e. 704.

To find the largest cube number we can subtract from 704 so that the result is ≥0

We can subtract 83=512 from 704, because 704−512=192≥0

(If we subtract 93=729, we get 704−729=−25<0).

Thus, the next neighbour digit of the answer is 8.

Hence, 3704969=89

Monasteries were Christian institutions of the medieval Europe where devotee Christians lead a life of isolation dedicated to the worship of God. These monasteries were located far from the areas of human habitation. The two famous monasteries were St. Benedict in Italy and Cluny in Burgundy. The functions performed by these monasteries are as follows:

(a) Preaching: Monks and nuns moved from one place to another to spread the words of Christianity among the people.

(b) Charity: Monasteries served the sick and arranged food for the poor people. The monasteries served as inns for the travellers. They could rest in these monasteries and then continue their journey.

(c) Learning centres: Monasteries provided education to the community children and those who wanted to become monks.

(d) Cultural Enrichment:

(i) Most monks and nuns were educated and learned, so they spent their time copying books and masterpieces like the works of Cicero and Virgil.

(ii) Monks also wrote chronicles; they noted down all important events of their times.
