A mutual fund is an investment security type that enables investors to pool their money together into one professionally managed investment. Mutual funds can invest in stocks, bonds, cash and/or other assets. These underlying security types, called holdings combine to form one mutual fund, also called a portfolio.

A number of people who relate to us possess power to socialise us. Such people are called socialisation agents. Some of the main agents of socialisation are as follows:
(i) Parents: They have most direct and significant impact on children’s development. Children respond in different ways to parents in different situations. Parents encourage certain behaviours by rewarding them verbally (e.g., praising) or in other tangible ways (e.g., buying chocolates or objects of child’s desire). They also discourage certain behaviours through non-approving behaviours. They also arrange to put children in a variety of situations that provide them with a variety of positive experiences, learning opportunities, and challenges. The conditions of life in which parents live (such as poverty, job stress, illness, nature of family) also influence the styles they adopt in socialising children. Grand parental proximity and network of social relationships play considerable role in child socialisation directly or through parental influences.
(ii) School: School is another important socialising agent. Children learn many cognitive skills (such as reading, writing), and social skills (such as ways of behaving with elders and age males, accepting roles, fulfilling responsibilities). They also learn and internalise the norms and rules of society. Several other positive qualities, such as self-initiative, self-control, responsibility, land creativity are encouraged in schools. These qualities make children more self-reliant. A good school can altogether transform a child’s personality.
(iii) Peer groups: Friendship provides children good opportunity to be in company of others. It also provides organising various activities (e.g., play) collectively with the members of their own age. Qualities like sharing, trust, mutual understanding, role acceptance and fulfilment develop in interaction with peers. Children also learn to assert their own point of view and accept and adopt to those of others. Development of self identity is greatly facilitated by the peer group. Since communication of children with peer group is direct, process of socialisation is generally smooth.

Kirchhoff has given two rules based on conservation of electric charge and of energy, these are known as Kirchhoff’s laws
Kirchhoff’s First Law or Junction Rule The algebraic sum of electric currents at any junction of electric circuit is equal to zero i.e. the sum of current entering into a junction is equal to the sum of current leaving the junction i.e.

Junction law supports law of conservation of charge because this is a point in a circuit which cannot act as a source or sink of charge(s).
Kirchhoff’s Second Law or Voltage Rule In any closed mesh of electrical circuit, the algebraic sum of emf’s of cell and the product of currents and resistance is always equal to zero i.e.

Kirchhoff’s second law supports the law of conservation of energy. Because the net change in the energy of a charge, after the charge complete a closed path must be zero

ADVERTISEMENTS:

The water droplets which appear on the wall of the glass jar when a potted plant is covered with it are because of the process, which is called transpiration. The water droplets form because of the condensed water vapour which deposits on the wall of the jar. These vapours are lost through the process of transpiration.
Transpiration is the process by which the evaporation of water takes place from the leaves of the plant and is released into the atmosphere. This evaporation takes place from the small pores, which are present on the underside of the leaf and are called stomata.

Argument list contains variables names along with their data types. For example – A function which is used to add two integer variables, will be having two integer argument. Block of code: Set of C statements, which will be executed whenever a call will be made to the function. When one piece of code invokes or calls a function, it is done by the following syntax: variable = function_name ( args, ...); The function name must match exactly the name of the function in the function prototype. The args are a list of values (or variables containing values) that are "passed" into the function.

The placenta is an organ that links the budding fetus to the uterine wall to facilitate the uptake of nutrients, gas exchange and waste elimination, with the help of the mother's blood supply. The umbilical cord connects the fetus to the placenta.
The placenta is a spongy mass of flesh that absorbs oxygen and nutrients from the blood stream of the mother, which are then transferred to the baby via the umbilical cord. The umbilical cord is responsible for carrying the oxygen and nutrients to the fetus.
The placenta is discarded after the baby's delivery, while a portion of the umbilical stump still remains on the baby, but soon withers away as well.
