Consider 3 resistors R1,R2 & R3 connected in series.
The current flowing through them is same.
We know,
V=iR
So,
iRs= iR1+iR2+iR3
iRs= i (R1+R2+R3)
On cancelling i both sides we get,
Rs= R1+R2+R3

IPO stands for Input, Output and Process. As the name suggests, IPO cycle is the input and output after process of the data. To get output, u have to first give input and then the input needs to be processed to get your desired result,i.e. Output

6. In Fig. 6.44, the side QR of ΔPQR is produced to a point S. If the bisectors of PQR and PRS meet at point T, then prove that QTR = ½ QPR.

Solution:

Consider the ΔPQR. PRS is the exterior angle and QPR and PQR are interior angles.

So, PRS = QPR+PQR (According to triangle property)

Or, PRS -PQR = QPR ———–(i)

Now, consider the ΔQRT,

TRS = TQR+QTR

Or, QTR = TRS-TQR

We know that QT and RT bisect PQR and PRS respectively.

So, PRS = 2 TRS and PQR = 2TQR

Now, QTR = ½ PRS – ½PQR

Or, QTR = ½ (PRS -PQR)

From (i) we know that PRS -PQR = QPR

So, QTR = ½ QPR (hence proved).

When a person, skilled or non-skilled, willing to work as per the going wage, does not get work, the person is said to be unemployed. This situation is termed as unemployment. Two types of unemployment found in rural areas are as follows : Disguised Unemployment This prevails in agricultural sector in rural India, where all the members of the family are engaged on a plot of land belonging to them. Everybody seems to be working on that land, but production does not suffer if some of the family members are removed from work. The surplus persons are disguisedly unemployed. Seasonal Unemployment It too prevails in agricultural sector in rural India. Labourers are busy during the period when sowing, harvesting, weeding and threshing is done. Other than this period, labourers hardly get any work as villages lack infrastructure, construction activities or other sources of employment.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 2 months ago (2577571)

Unemployment exists when people who are willing to work at the going wages cannot find jobs. It can be explained as below:
The workforce population includes people from 15 to 59 years. Therefore, if people below 15 years and above 59 years do not have a job, they cannot be called unemployed.
In India, unemployment can be categorised as in rural and urban areas. Further, rural unemployment includes seasonal and disguised unemployment and urban unemployment includes educated unemployment.

Golgi apparatus is a complex cytoplasmic structure made up of smooth membrane saccules or cisternae, a network of tubules with vesicles and vacuoles, which takes part in membrane transformation, secretion, and production of complex biochemicals. The shape and size of Golgi body are not fixed. They depend upon the physiological state of the cells. Usually the Golgi body is made up of four parts - cisternae, tubules, vesicles, and vacuoles.

  1. Cisternae: Golgi body consists of a stack of generally 4-8 membrane-bound saccules or cisternae. The saccules are freq curved to give a definite polarity to the Golgi body. One face of the apparatus is convex while the other is concave.
  2. Tubules: They form a complicated network towards the periphery and maturing face of the apparatus. Actually, tubules arise due to fenestrations of the cisternae. They have a diameter of 30-50 nm. The tubules interconnect the different cisternae.
  3. Vesicles: They are small sacs of 20-80 nm diameters. The vesicles are found attached to the tips of tubules at various levels in the network. They are of two types, smooth and coated.
  4. Golgian vacuoles: They are expanded parts of the cisternae which have become modified to form vacuoles. The vacuoles develop from the concave or maturing face. Golgian vacuoles contain the amorphous or granular substance. Some of the Golgian vacuole functions as lysosomes.

Functions:

  1. All glandular cells depend upon Golgi body for concentrating and packaging their products inside a soluble proteins coat.
  2. The Golgi body brings about membrane transformation, that is, converting one type of membrane into other types.
  3. Proteins synthesized by the rough endoplasmic reticulum and lipids synthesized by smooth endoplasmic reticulum reach the cisternae of the Golgi body. Here, they combine with carbohydrates to form glycoproteins and glycolipids.
