When the larynx grows larger during puberty, it sticks out at the front of the throat. This is what's called an Adam's apple. Everyone's larynx grows during puberty, but a girl's larynx doesn't grow as much as a boy's does. That's why boys have Adam's apples.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 1 month ago (2577571)

 Adam’s apple: The protruding part of the throat is called Adam’s apple.

It is the enlarged voice box or larynx which gets enlarged and visible from outside in boys at the onset of puberty. This makes the voice of boys hoarse.

Potential difference: potential difference between two point that is called potential difference.... Insulator: A substance in which current doesn't flow is called insulator... Conductor:. A substance in which current flow is called conductor....

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 1 month ago (2577571)

In a conductor, electrons flow only when there is a difference in electric pressure at its ends. This is also called potential difference. In a circuit, this potential difference is created by a battery.

Electrical conductor:An electrical conductor is a substance that allows an electrical current to pass through it. Electrical conductors are usually metals. Copper is one of the best electrical conductors, and this is why it is used to make conducting wire.

Insulators: An insulator is a non-conducting material that does not carry any charge.Examples of insulators are plastic and wood.

Rutherford proposed a model in which electrons revolve around the nucleus in well-defined orbits. There is a positively charged centre in an atom called the nucleus. He also proposed that the size of the nucleus is very small as compared to the size of the atom and nearly all the mass of an atom is centred in the nucleus. Whereas, Thomson proposed the model of an atom to be similar to a Christmas pudding. The electrons are studded like currants in a positively charged sphere like Christmas pudding and the mass of the atom was supposed to be uniformly distributed

Let AB be the vertical pole and CA be the rope. Then,

∠ACB=30o and AC=20 m

In right △ ABC,

sin30o = AB/AC

1/2 =AB/20

AB=10 m

Therefore, the height of the pole is 10 m.

Character of M. Hamel

M. Hamel was a true French man. Teaching at Alsace for forty years, he had become a part of its people. He was an honest teacher. He did not blame his students alone for poor learning. He also held himself responsible for the same. He was very patriotic as he appealed to his countrymen to hold fast to their mother tongue to be free from the Prussians. According to him the French language was the most beautiful, the clearest and the most logical language in the world. He appealed to his countrymen to guard it and never forget it. He was emotionally attached to the school and all his students. However, he was very brave and strong. He was really sorry for not making sincere efforts to teach French to his countrymen. At the end, he became so emotional that he could not speak.

A type of development in which we use resources to satisfy the need of present generation and protect for coming generation without harming the environment

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 1 month ago (2898529)

Sustainable development is the practice of using guidelines for environmentally responsible and energy savings to create new development projects and to maintain and retrofit older projects. It can include using green materials in new construction, designing projects that can harvest their own energy to reduce the load on a power grid, or that incorporate green space in order to counterbalance the green space removed to build the onsite facilities. There is a heavy emphasis on making sure that what is built can be maintained and repaired in a way that minimizes the degradation of the original development so that the lifespan of a facility is longer than normal.
