Enthalpy of vaporization is the amount of energy that must be supplied to the liquid in order to change the liquid into a gas. Enthalpy is also regarded as boiling temperature of the liquid.

Acetone does not have hydrogen bond, and thus intermolecular forces are comparatively weaker which makes it boil/evaporates fast, thus reducing the molar enthalpy of vaporization. Also, Acetone does not polar O-H bond contributing to low enthalpy.

Water has non-polar region and also has strong hydrogen bond. Water has highly polar O-H bond which makes water boil at relatively higher temperature than Acetone thus has enthalpy greater than that of Acetone.

Principle of Subrogation

Subrogation means one party stands in for another. As per this principle, After the insured, i.e. the individual has been compensated for the incurred loss to him on the subject matter that was insured, the rights of the ownership of that property goes to the insurer, i.e. the company.

Subrogation gives the right to the insurance company to claim the amount of loss from the third-party responsible for the same.

Example – If Mr A gets injured in a road accident, due to reckless driving of a third party, the company with which Mr A took the accidental insurance will compensate the loss occurred to Mr A and will also sue the third party to recover the money paid as claim.

initial velocity, u = 6 m/s and final velocity, v= -4.4 m/s

time = 0.04s

thus acceleration = (v-u)/t

a =(- 4.4 - 6)/ 0.04  = -10.4/ 0.04  = -260 m/s2

Note: v is taken as negative because it's in opposite direction as that of initial velocity.

One day, Prashant had gone to spend a day with his friend in the block headquarters of Ersama - it is a small town in coastal Orissa which is 18 km away from his home.

And , in the evening, a dark and menacing (dangerous) storm quickly gathered. Winds beat against the houses with a high speed and this furious havoc had never witnessed before by Prashant.

Whole town was filled the darkened sky with heavy and incessant rain. Ancient trees were uprooted and crashed on the earth due to storm. The air produced the screaming sound as peoples and houses were swiftly washed away. The water rushed and swirled into his friends house which was neck deep.

Some times in the middle of the night , roofs and walls get damaged and fall on their houses. The crazed distruction caused by the cyclone and the surge of the ocean continued for thirty-six hours.

Prashant and his friend's family members had to stay on the roof and they huddled for next days. The water looked raging deadly like a brown sheet which covered everything as far as the eye could see. Animal carcasses and human corpses floated everywhere.

The condition was totally worse and this shock was experienced by Prashant at his first glimpse(scene) of the devastation caused by the super cyclone which he will never forget.

A few examples of public sector activities are provision of water, electricity and some modes of transport. The government has taken these up because water and power are needed by everyone. If the work of providing electricity and water is left to private enterprises, the latter might exploit this opportunity and sell these at rates which the masses cannot afford. Hence, to ensure that basic amenities like water and power are available for all, the government supplies these at low and affordable rates.
