Haemoglobin is a type of globular protein present in red blood cells (RBCs), which transports oxygen in our body through blood. It is a tetrameric protein and contains the heme prosthetic group attached to each subunit. It is a respiratory pigment and helps in transporting oxygen as oxyhaemoglobin from the lungs to different parts of the body. Some amount of carbon dioxide is also transported back via haemoglobin as carbaminohaemoglobin.
Other oxygen binding proteins are myoglobin in muscles, haemocyanin in arthropods and molluscs, leghaemoglobin in legumes, etc.

Answer: Mr. Pertronski’s letter said that Wanda would not come to school anymore as they were moving to the big city. He also said that in the big city, nobody would ask them why they had funny names because there were plenty of funny names in the city.

The Hundred Dresses Summary
The story is about a quiet and shy girl named Wanda Petronski, a Polish immigrant, who had come to America with her family. She attended school with American children who found her name to be strange and probably, the weirdest in the classroom. This is because they all had easier names. She was poor and was always seen wearing a faded blue dress. Her classmates teased her because she claimed to have a hundred dresses “all lined up” in her closet albeit, always being seen wearing one. The ones who mainly teased her were the two best friends, Peggy and Maddie. Peggy was the most famous girl in school while anyone barely knew Wanda.
Peggy and Maddie used to wait for Wanda before school even if it meant getting late. Maddie, a poor girl herself did not like when Peggy made fun of Wanda. She feared that she could be next. She wanted Peggy to stop making fun of Wanda, but could not summon courage to face her as she feared she’d lose her best friend. However, Peggy’s intention was never to hurt Wanda but she was curious as to why Wanda had to lie that she had a hundred dresses in her closet.
Truth about the same hundred dresses unveiled on the result day of the drawing competition. The room was lined with one hundred drawings portraying different dresses, each so beautiful. That day, she truly had “a hundred dresses all lined up”, but in the classroom. At that moment, Peggy and Maddie, who were awestruck realised the theory of a hundred dresses and felt guilty about having treated her badly

The following were the social, economic, and political conditions in Russia before 1905.
(a) Social Conditions: The majority religion was Russian Orthodox Christianity which had grown out of the Greek Orthodox Church. But the empire also included Catholics, Protestants, Muslims and Buddhists. The non-Russian nationalities were not treated equal to that of Russian nationalities. They were not given the freedom to follow their culture and language. Workers were divided into group on the basis of skill and training. Peasants formed their group called commune or mir.
(b) Economic conditions: The majority of Russians were agriculturists. Grain was the main item of export from Russia. Industries were few. Prominent industrial areas were St Petersburg and Moscow. Much of the production was done by the craftsmen. There were large factories alongside the craft workshops. With the expansion of the Russian rail network, foreign investment in factories grew. There were huge coal, iron and steel production. There were equal numbers of factory workers and craftsmen. The workers were exploited by capitalists who made their life miserable.
(c) Political Conditions: Russia was a monarchy. (Tsar Nicholas II ruled Russia and its empire that extended to current-day Finland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, parts of Poland, Ukraine and Belarus. It stretched to the Pacific and comprised today’s Central Asian states, as well as Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan). The Tsars believed in the divine rights of kings. They were not responsible to the Parliament. All political parties were illegal in Russia.

The poet asks the rain to identify itself. Strangely the rain replies that it is the 'poem of the earth'. The rain describes how it is like a poet's song. The rain rises intangibly out of the sea and floats up to the sky, where it forms as a cloud. Then it falls back to earth in order to replenish it and allows new birth. Just like the rain is formed through seas, the song is formed in the poet's heart. Even though it changes form after leaving the poet's soul, it retains it's core and eventually returns to the poet through reader's love and appreciation.

The tides can be classified on the basis of frequency as :
1. Semi-Diurnal Tides: The most common tidal pattern featuring two high tides and two low tides each day.
2. Diurnal Tides : There is only one high tide and one low tide during each day. Successive high tides and low tides are approximately of the same height.
3. Mixed Tides : Tides having variation in heights are known as mixed tides.
On the basis of height, tides can be classified as under :
1. Spring Tides : Tides of certain periods of time are unusually lower or higher than normal height. When sun, moon and the earth are in a straight line the tidal range will be high. These are called spring tides.
2. Neap Tides : When the moon is at first and last quarter, the sun and the moon make a right angle to the earth. The attraction of the sun and the moon tends to balance each other. As a result tides with lowest amplitude occur which are termed as neap tides.
