मनके बनाने के लिए प्रयुक्त पदार्थ निम्न है:- जेसपर,तांबा,क्वार्ट्ज,सोना,आदी।इन पदार्थों को प्राप्त करने के लिए निमन तरीके प्रयोग में लाए जाते थे : 1•कच्चे माल के समीप बस्तियाँ स्थापित करना । , 2•अभियान भेजना _जैसे- दक्षिण भारत में सोने के लिए अभियान भेजे गए ।

Yogita Ingle 5 years ago (2577571)

The business class in India initially supported the Civil Disobedience Movement. This was because the industrialists and merchants in India had become rich during the First World War. They were keen on expanding their businesses and wanted protection against foreign industries. Many eminent industrialists such as Purshottamdas Thakurdas and G. D. Birla criticised the colonial government for its control over the Indian economy which prevented their growth. They provided financial assistance during the movement, and refused to buy and sell imported goods. Many industrialists began to see swaraj as a time when colonial restrictions on business will end. However, towards the end, they became apprehensive of the growing influence of socialism among the younger members of the Congress.

A set is a well-defined collection of objects, whose elements are fixed and cannot vary. It means set doesn’t change from person to person. Like for example, the set of natural numbers up to 7 will remain the same as {1,2,3,4,5,6,7}. Still, if we say the set of best players in a football team, then the name of footballers could vary every time we ask about the best players, as each person has its own choice to consider the best player. Similarly, if we speak about the set of rivers in India, the elements of the set will remain the same. So, this is a real-life example of a set. In mathematics, we represent the sets in curly brackets { }.

Relation between linear velocity and angular velocity

Let us consider the randomly shaped body undergoing a rotational motion as shown in the figure below. The linear velocity of the particle is related to the angular velocity. While considering the rotational motion of a rigid body on a fixed axis, the extended body is considered as a system of particles moving in a circle lying on a plane that is perpendicular to the axis, such as the center of rotation lies on the axis.

In this figure, the particle P has been shown to rotate over a fixed axis passing through O. Here, the particle represents a circle on the axis. The radius of the circle is the perpendicular distance between point P and the axis. The angle indicates the angular displacement Δθ of the given particle at time Δt. The average angular velocity in the time Δt is Δθ/Δt. Since Δt tends to zero, the ratio Δθ/Δt reaches a limit which is known as the instantaneous angular velocity dθ/dt. The instantaneous angular velocity is denoted by ω.

From the knowledge of circular motion, we can say that the magnitude of the linear velocity of a particle traveling in a circle relates to the angular velocity of the particle ω by the relation υ/ω= r, where r denotes the radius. At any instant, the relation v/ r = ω applies to every particle that has a rigid body.

If the perpendicular distance of a particle from a fixed axis is ri, the linear velocity at a given instant v is given by the relation,

Vi = ωri

Similarly, we can write the expression for the linear velocity for n different particles comprising the system. From the expression, we can say that for particles lying on the axis, the tangential velocity is zero as the radius is zero. Also, the angular velocity ω is a vector quantity which is constant for all the particles comprising the motion.

I. Roadways :

India has one of the largest road networks in the world. Its importance can be viewed.

(i) Construction cost of roads is much lower than that of railway lines
(ii) Roads can traverse comparatively more dissected and undulating topography.
(iii) Roads can negotiate higher gradients of slopes and as such can traverse mountains such as the Himalayas.
(iv) It is economical in transportation of few persons and relatively smaller amount of goods over short distances.
(v) It provides door to door services.
(vi) It is used as feeder to other modes of transport such as they provide a link between railway stations, air and sea ports.

Golden Quadrilateral Super Highways :

  • The Govt. has launched a major road development project linking Delhi-Kolkata-Chennai-Mumbai and Delhi by six-lane super highways.
  • The North-South corridors linking Srinagar [Jammu & Kashmir] &Kanyakumari [T.N.] & East-West Corridor Connecting silcher (Assam) &Porbander (Gujarat).
  • The major objective of these super highways is to reduce time and distance.

These highway projects are being implemented by the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).

  • National Highways: National Highways link extreme parts of the country and are laid and maintained by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD).
  • State Highways: State Highways link a state capital with different district headquarters and are constructed and maintained by the State Public Works Department (PWD) in State and Union Territories.
  • District Roads: These roads connect the district headquarters with other places of the district and  are maintained by the Zila Parishad.
  • Other Roads:Rural roads, which link rural areas and villages with towns. These   roads received special impetus under the Pradhan Mantri Grameen Sadak Yojana.
  • Border Roads :Border Roads Organisation a Government of India undertaking constructs and   maintains roads in the bordering areas of the country.
