iii।

Four major problems faced by cotton textile mills in India.
1. The yarn in India is produced by small industries and units which largely cater to local markets. Thus, while many spinners export cotton yarn, many garment manufacturers have to import fabric. Therefore, there is a mismatch between the two.
2. Most of the machinery installed in cotton mills are outdated and need to be replaced.
3. Irregular power supply has hampered production.
4. The cotton industry is facing tough competition from the fibre industry.

Anorexia nervosa: It is an eating disorder that involves relentless pursuit of thinness through starvation. It is quite common to see adolescents eliminate certain foods from their diets or to eat slimming foods only. The media also projects thinness, as the most desirable image and copying such fashionable image of thinness leads to anorexia nervousa.
Bulimia: It is another form of an eating disorder in which the individual follows a binge-and -purge eating pattern. The blumic goes on an eating binge, then purges by self-induced vomiting or using a laxative at times alternating it with fasting. Anorexia neruousa and bulimia are primarily female disorders more common in urban families.

An amphoteric oxide is one that can act as a base or as an acid. The non-metallic oxides are generally acidic and the metallic oxides are basic. Metallic oxides are known as amphoteric oxides which display both the basic and acidic nature. Elements that form amphoteric oxides have some metals and some of the non-metals characteristics. Amphoterism is based upon an oxide’s oxidation state. This oxide reacts with base and acid to produce salt and water as the main products.
Amphoteric oxides react with both acids and alkalis to form salt and water. Examples of amphoteric oxides are zinc oxide and aluminum oxide.
ZnO(s) + 2HCl(aq) → ZnCl2(aq) + H2O(l)
ZnO(s) + 2NaOH(a) → Na2ZnO2(aq) + H2O(l)
Al2O3(s) + 6HCl(aq) → 2AlCl3(aq) + 3H2O(l)
Al2O3(s) + 2NaOH(aq) → 2NaAlO2(aq) + H2O(l)
