It is important to conserve resources as many resources are scarce and take millions of years to develop. Over exploitation of resources may exhaust them. Thus, we need to conserve resources. To use the resources carefully and to give time to renew them is known as conservation of resources.
The principle of sustainable development should be followed while utilizing resources. Some common ways in which we can conserve resources are:
- Not to waste paper

- to use water carefully

Ans: Slavery was finally abolished in 1848 by the French Second Republic.
Detailed explanation:
Before the French Revolution in 1789, France had three colonies of the Caribbean - Martinique, Guadeloupe and San Domingo under its control. These places were major suppliers of sugar, coffee, indigo and tobacco.
The triangular slave trade between Europe, Africa and America began in the 17th century.
Merchants sailed from the French ports to the African coast where they bought Negroes, who are natives of Africa, from the local chieftains.
Port cities like Bordeaux and Nantes were flourishing economically because of the slave trade.
The National Convention voted to abolish slavery in all the French colonies on February 4, 1794.
Slavery was reintroduced in the French colonies by Napoleon Bonaparte. Slavery was finally abolished in 1848 by the French Second Republic.

Given length of the sheet of paper = 125 cm
Also given that breadth of the sheet of paper = 85 cm
Area of a sheet of paper = Length x Breadth
= 125 cm x 85 cm
= 10,625 cm2
Length of sheet required for an envelope = 17 cm
Breadth of sheet required for an envelope = 5 cm
Area of the sheet required for one envelope = Length x Breadth
= 17 cm x 5 cm
= 85 c m2
Thus, required number of envelopes = 10,625/85
= 125

Budding is a form of asexual reproduction where a bud or outgrowth from the end or side of the parent organism emerges and develops into a new organism. This is seen in fungi, hydra as well as in plants. Usually, the protrusion stays attached to the primary organism for a while, before becoming free. The new organism is naturally genetically identical to the parent. When yeast buds, one cell becomes two cells. When a sponge buds, a part of the parent sponge falls off and starts to grow into a new sponge.
In Hydra, a bud develops as an outgrowth due to repeated cell division at one specific site. These buds develop into tiny individuals and when fully mature, detach from the parent body and become new individuals
