Through an active process known as translocation. TRANSLOCATION is the process by which the soluble products of photosynthesis are bidirectionally transported to all parts of the plant. It requires energy. When energy is supplied to the phloem tissue, it becomes an area of higher concentration. This ensures that the soluble food reach areas of low concentration (where there is acute need for food) through simple diffusion from phloem tissue.

Rubber band has elasticity which allow its molecular bond s to stretch, this is why rubber band can be stretched when it is pulled. But when it is released the rubber band comes back to its original shape. Therefore a rubber band is a solid.
