➡The philosophers played an important role in the French revolution.They inspired the common mass of France with their revolutionary ideas and prepared them to fight against injustices.
➡They did not believe in the doctrine of the divine and the absolute right of the monarch. In his two treaties of government John Locke refuted this doctrine strongly.
➡Rousseau carried the idea forward proposing a form of government based on a social contract between people and their representatives.
➡In the spirit of the laws,Montesquieu proposed a division of power withing the government between the legislative, executive and the judiciary.
➡The ideas of these philosophers wet discussed in saloons and coffee houses and spread among people through books and newspapers.These were frequently read aloud in groups for the benefit of those who were illiterate. Thus the philosophers contributed a lot in bringing of the French revolution.

River ecosystems are flowing waters that drain the landscape, and include the biotic (living) interactions amongst plants, animals and micro-organisms, as well as abiotic (nonliving) physical and chemical interactions of its many parts.[1][2] River ecosystems are part of larger watershed networks or catchments, where smaller headwater streams drain into mid-size streams, which progressively drain into larger river network River ecosystems are prime examples of lotic ecosystems. Lotic refers to flowing water, from the Latin lotus, meaning washed. Lotic waters range from springs only a few centimeters wide to major rivers kilometers in width.[3] Much of this article applies to lotic ecosystems in general, including related lotic systems such as streams and springs. Lotic ecosystems can be contrasted with lentic ecosystems, which involve relatively still terrestrial waters such as lakes, ponds, and wetlands. Together, these two ecosystems form the more general study area of freshwater or aquatic ecology. The following unifying characteristics make the ecology of running waters unique among aquatic habitats.[4] Flow is unidirectional. There is a state of continuous physical change. There is a high degree of spatial and temporal heterogeneity at all scales (microhabitats). Variability between lotic systems is quite high. The biota is specialized to live with flow conditions.

Both of the families Papillionaceae and Cruciferae are named in this way due to the characteristics of their corolla. The corolla or the petals are the portions of the plant that is present behind the calyx of the plant. This whorl is usually colored.
Papilionaceae: Another name for this family is Fabaceae. This is the pea family. The corolla of this family resembles a butterfly because of its arrangement. The name ‘papilio’ is Latin for butterfly. Therefore the name of the family is based on the shape of the corolla.
Cruciferae: Cruciform refers to a shape that is like a cross. This is the cabbage family. The flowers of this family all have four flowers that are positioned in a cross-like formation. The petals are positioned at right angles to each other which is what gives them this shape.
