The necklace movie is written by Guy De Maupassant . This story is about a poor lady with big dreams named Matilda . Her dream was to marry rich person but because she was poor she married a clerk . She had a rich friend named Jeanne and whenever Matilda visit her after coming home she often used to cry because she was poor . One day Matilda's husband came home happily with envelope and asked Matilda to open it it was an invitation card at ball which was held on Monday evening, January 18 at minister's residence. Her husband thought Matilda would be happy as it was one of her dream but just opposite happened she became sad and started crying as she has no dress to wear for party her husband told that he will buy a dress for her which cost four hundred francs . As day for ball came Matilda become more sad as she has no jewellery to wear so her husband advised to wear natural flowers but she refused then her husband advised to borrow necklace from her friend . She borrowed a diamond necklace and she was looking very preety at the ball and she enjoyed the ball . When she came home and while she was watching herself in mirror she noticed that her necklace was not there . Her husband went to find the necklace and advertisement was done in newspaper and told Matilda to write letters to her friend describing that her necklace was broken and she will return it after repairing. She didn't find necklace and she decided to buy necklace same as her friend and return her which cost 36 thousand francs and she have to pay money from whom she had taken money and after that her life changed she have to live the life of 10 years very poorly. One day when she meet her friend she told the whole story and then her friend told that that necklace was not real and cost 5 hundred francs only.
