The properties of Karl Pearson’s Coefficient of Correlation are:
- Karl Pearson’s Correlation coefficient r has no unit. It is a pure number. It means a unit of measurement is not a part of r. It is independent of the origin and scale.
- The value of the correlation coefficient lies between {tex}- 1 \leq r \leq 1{/tex}. If the value of r lies outside this range, it indicates there is some error in the calculation.
- A negative value of r indicates an inverse relation. A change in one variable is associated with change in the other variable in the opposite direction.
- If r is positive it indicates a direct relation and the two variables move in the same direction.
- The converse of the theorem,i.e.,r=0, is not true, that is uncorrelated variables and need not necessarily be independent. Uncorrelation between the variables X and Y simply imply the absence of a linear relationship between them.
- Therefore, if the data is too large, step deviation method is used, which makes the calculation of correlation coefficient easy.

Contemporary Indian paintings are more realistic and understandable, due to the information available for the people who view.
Since the world has changed a lot, new generation wants to get their ideas painted in their favourite format. Instead of searching and analysing the ideas in the old style of paintings.
Modern paintings can easily be understood, with the ideas symbolised.

Even though Indian receives abundant rainfall, it is still a thirsty land. This is because of the following reasons:
- Rainfall is not uniform in all the places throughout the country. Some areas have more rainfall and some receive scanty rainfall.
- Due to global warming and the consequent rise in temperature, there is a tendency for the quick evaporation of water, making the climate dry and hot.
- No sufficient measures have been adopted by the government to build water reserves and make facilities for rainwater harvesting.
- The Rapid growth of population, urbanization and changing lifestyle have posed a serious threat to water security.
- Low public consciousness about the overall scarcity and economic value of water results in its wastage and inefficient use leading to scarcity.
- Water conservation policies and water resources projects are implemented improperly without giving due consideration to optimum utilization and environmental sustainability.

Mr. Keesing was the maths teacher of Anne Frank. He was an old fashioned-person. He did not like much troubles in school. Anne was a talkative student in the class. So he was annoyed with Anne. He gave her several warnings but there was no good result.
Ultimately he assigned Anne, extra homework. It was an essay on “A Chatterbox”. Anne wrote that talking is a student’s trait. She had inherited this quality from her mother, who is more talkative but the teacher was adamant. He assigned two more essays. “An Incorrigible Chatterbox" and “Quack, Quack, Quack, said Mistress Chatterbox”. In fact, Mr. Keesing had intended to play a joke on Anne but Anne wrote the essay in such a way that it became a joke on Mr. Keesing himself. After that, he stopped giving Anne any extra homework. He allowed her to talk in the class. He even started making jokes with the children.

Pulse Polio: This is a mass immunization program to eradicate poliomyelitis from India. This program was launched in 1995-96. This program has been undertaken with active cooperation from government agencies, NGOs, UNICEF, and CDC.
Key Objectives of Pulse Polio:
Polio booths are settled throughout the country to cover all the children below 5 years of age. Volunteers are hired to administer the polio vaccine.
OPV (Oral Polio Vaccine): OPV is an attenuated vaccine. It is produced by the passage of the virus through non-human cells at a sub-physiological temperature. This produces spontaneous mutation in the viral genome.
A single vial of OPV usually contains 10-20 doses.
On 27th March 2014, WHO declared India a polio-free nation as no new case was reported in the last 3 years.
