How to fill class 10 CBSE Private form 2017-18

Do you want to sit in CBSE board exam as private candidate? This news is for you. Students who are not part of regular school, but they wish to sit in board exam as private student can now apply online and fill CBSE private form. The certification and value is same as that of regular school going students. However, this option is not open for all. CBSE Private form can be filled online. Here are the details on how to fill CBSE private form to sit in March 2018 board exam.

Eligibility Criteria for CBSE Class-10 CBSE Private Form

Rules for outside Delhi Students:

CategoryEligibility Criteria for all India students
FULL SUBJECT (5/6 SUBJECTS)Candidate who has been placed under ‘NIOP’ or EIOP’ in the previous years of All India Secondary School Examination (Class X) can apply. However, they have to appear in full (5/6) subjects.

OR

Teacher serving in educational institution affiliated to the Board

OR

Regular candidate who had completed regular course of studies and had been allotted Roll No. for appearing for the Class X examination but could not appear at the Annual Examination due to medical reasons except shortage of attendance.

UPGRADING OF PERFORMANCE
Note: Candidate applying for Upgrading of Performance cannot apply for appearing in Additional subject together
Candidate who has passed the examination of the Board in 2017 can apply in 2018 for Improving his/her performance in one or more subjects. He/she should have appeared in these subjects in the examination held in March 2017.
ADDITIONAL SUBJECT

Note: Candidate applying for Additional Subject cannot apply for appearing for Upgrading of performance together

Candidate who has passed Board examination can apply for an Additional subject from the list of subjects enclosed, within 06 years of passing the examination (candidates passed in 2012/2013/2014/2015/2016 /2017are eligible to apply). However, candidate cannot apply for a subject involving practical work.

Rules for Delhi Students:

OR

Teacher serving in educational institution affiliated to the Board. Such candidate shall apply the form online and sent to the CBSE as mentioned in this circular. Besides, they will also sent their application through proper channel along with confirmation page with a certificate by the Head of School in which they are serving duly countersigned by the Director of Education of the State/Union Territory concerned in which the teacher is serving to the Regional Office of the Board concerned in which the school is situated.

OR

Women candidate who is a bonafide resident of the National Capital Territory of Delhi and has attained the age for appearing in Class X

(i) if would have appeared through a school as a regular candidate; OR

(ii) one year after passing Class IX and two years after passing Class VIII as a regular candidate AND

(iii) satisfy the following additional conditions:-

(a) that She has privately pursued the prescribed course of study under proper guidance; and

(b) that She is unable to join a Secondary School affiliated to the Board or there are such other reasons compelling her to appear at the examination as a private candidate.

Note: Women candidate applying under this category cannot take subjects involving practical component. However, they may opt for Home Science with practical.

OR

Physically Handicapped student on producing reasonable evidence of having difficulty to attend normal institutions in the subjects not involving practical training/examination. Medical category in this regard will be required to be uploaded.

OR

Regular candidate who had completed regular course of studies and had been allotted Roll No. for appearing for the Class X examination but could not appear at the Annual Examination due to medical reasons except shortage of attendance

Candidate who has passed the examination of the Board in the year 2017 may apply for Upgrading his/her performance in one or more subjects. He/she should have appeared in the same subjects in the examination held in March 2017.

General Instructions and How to fill form

CBSE private form

The Online submission of form by the candidates placed in the category NIOP(Class X), FAIL/COMPARTMENT(Class XII) and those who wish to appear for improving their performance or for an additional subject as Private candidate for the examination scheduled to be held in March 2018 has been started.

Eligibility, Fee, detailed procedure of submitting online application is described in the Annexures. Students/Parents are advised to go through the eligibility and detailed procedure before applying.

Details in respect of students who have appeared in the Board examination held in 2017 examination will be auto-generated in the online system. However, Candidates of 2016 (or prior) will need to submit the details on the online application form. If a candidate makes wrong entries in his/her application form or gives false statement or produces false document, his/her form shall be rejected and fee paid shall be forfeited.

In pursuance of Circular No. 05/2017 dated 31.01.2017, CBSE will conduct Class X private examination for 80 marks (for Theory) in each subject covering 100% syllabus of the subject of class X only. The students who have been declared as EIOP/NIOP in Board (SA-2) examination 2017/ earlier will need to give 2018 examination (covering entire class X syllabus) according to revised pattern.

For the Private examination- 2018, controlling region for the candidate will be decided by the online system based on the current residential address entered by the applicant in the online system. For example: if candidate has appeared in class XII main examination from Varanasi (Regional Office Allahabad) and is now residing at Jaipur, the centre of examination will be allotted under the jurisdiction of Regional Office, Ajmer if the candidate writes his residential address as Jaipur. However, eligibility of such a case for appearing in examination will be decided by the RO Allahabad.

As per the eligibility notified for JEE-2018, candidates desirous of seeking admission in IITs/NITs/IIITs/other CFTIs should have scored 75 % (65 % For SC/ST candidates) or in top 20 percentile of XII Examination held in 2016/ 2017. Therefore, the candidates of 2016/2017 desiring to appear in the Improvement examination may apply for one or more subjects in which he/she had appeared in Main Examination of class 12th in 2016/2017.

It has been observed that some students complete the online entry of application but do not deposit fee. If fee is not sent/deposited by applicant by last date, his/her application will be rejected without any notice.

Mere submission of form and fee will not confer a right on candidate for appearing in the examination. His/her eligibility will depend upon the fulfilment of the eligibility conditions prescribed by the Board.

Parents/Candidates may note that ink signed copy of confirmation page alongwith enclosures are to be submitted to the concerned Regional Office as per Office address given in confirmation page. Candidature of applicants not submitting the confirmation page will be rejected.
