Explained under gravitation chapter

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 4 months ago (2577571)

When the satellite is revolving around the earth, it is because of the gravitational force towards the earth that acts as a centripetal force. Since the initial speed is less than the escape speed, earth’s gravity pulls the satellite towards the centre of the earth. So the satellite is always accelerating around the earth.

The Greek society was divided into three classes :

1. Nobles or Upper Class.

2. Demos or free people.

3. Slaves.

The Roman society was also divided into the three groups :

1. The Patricians or the Rich.

2. Plebeians or the Common People.

3. The Slaves.

The upper class in both the countries included in rich and  the landed aristocracy which led a very luxurious life. The second class was comprised of traders, craftsmen, warriors and the cultivators.

The people enjoyed all the civic rights but they had to bear the burden of most of the taxes. For the purpose, they were against the upper class.

The condition of the third class i.e. the slaves was very bad in both the countries. They were bought and sold in the markets. They were treated like animals by their masters.

M. Hamel was a true French man. Teaching at Alsace for forty years, he had become a part of its people. He was an honest teacher. He did not blame his students alone for poor learning. He also held himself responsible for the same. He was very patriotic as he appealed to his countrymen to hold fast to their mother tongue to be free from the Prussians. According to him the French language was the most beautiful, the clearest and the most logical language in the world. He urged on his countrymen to guard it and never forget it. He was deeply attached to the school and all his students. However, he was very brave and strong. He was really regretful for not making sincere efforts to teach French to his countrymen. At the end, he became so emotional that he could not speak.

The Guru’s wisdom and street-smartness saved his disciple. He created mystery before the king by whispering something into his disciple’s ear. Then the guru and disciple acted wonderfully and convinced the king that the person who would be executed first would become the king of the kingdom in the next birth and the person who would be executed the second, would be the minister of the kingdom.

The king needed some time to think. He wanted to be the king of his kingdom in the next birth also. He wanted his foolish minister to be his minster in the next birth too. So he decided himself and his minister to be executed. He ordered the guru and the disciple to be executed. But at night he freed the guru and his disciple and put their clothes on. King’s men executed the king and the minster considering them to be the guru and the disciple. They came to know this truth when their bodies were being disposed of.

Given numbers: 135 and 225

Here, 225>135.

So, we will divide greater number by smaller number.

Divide 225 by 135.

The quotient is 1 and remainder is 90.

225=135×1+90

Divide 135 by 90

The quotient is 1 and remainder is 45.

135=90×1+45

Divide 90 by 45.

The quotient is 2 and remainder is 0.

90=2×45+0

Thus, the HCF is 45.
