Hey mate, this would be the best answer......The contamination of soil with waste materials (especially used polythene bags and plastics), pesticides, fertilisers, acid rain and industrial chemical wastes, etc., is called soil pollution. The various sources of soil pollution and their effects are as follows: 1) Dumping of waste materials (such as polythene bags plastics, glass and metal objects) causes soil pollution. Some waste materials (like paper and vegetable wastes) rot after some time and become harmless. But the waste materials such as polythene bags and other plastics (plastic bottles, etc.) do not rot on their own and remain as such indefinitely. They also kill the living organisms. The used glass and metal objects also do not rot in nature and cause soil pollution. 2) The use of pesticides in agriculture causes soil pollution: Pesticides are the poisonous chemical substances which are sprayed on standing crops to save them from the harmful insects and diseases. So, the grains, fruits and vegetables grown in this polluted soil contain pesticides. When we eat such contaminated grains, fruits or vegetables, the pesticides present in them enter our bodies and damage our health in the long run. 3) The excessive use of fertilisers in agriculture causes soil pollution: Chemical fertilisers are added to soil in the fields to increase food production. The excessive use of chemical fertilisers makes the soil acidic or alkaline. When the soil becomes highly acidic or alkaline it is said to be polluted. This soil becomes unfit for the growth of crop plants. 4) Acid rain causes soil pollution: Acid rain makes the soil highly acidic. This acidic soil becomes toxic or poisonous) for plant growth. In this way, pollution caused by acid rain makes the soil less fertile. 5) Dumping of industrial wastes causes soil pollution: Many industries (or factories) dump their waste products containing harmful chemicals on soil. These chemicals cause soil pollution and harm plants which grow in it and the cattle which graze on it.

Biomolecules are the molecules present in a living organism.  These biomolecules are fundamental building blocks of living organisms as they support the biological processes essential for life. Eg carbohydrates, proteins, nucleic acids, lipids, vitamins, etc. Carbohydrates are involved in energy storage; the hormones catalyze the biochemical reactions; DNA/RNA store/transmit the genetic codes of a living being.

Biomolecules are the most essential organic molecules, which are involved in the maintenance and metabolic processes of living organisms. These non-living molecules are the actual foot-soldiers of the battle of sustenance of life. They range from small molecules such as primary and secondary metabolites and hormones to large macromolecules like proteins, nucleic acids, carbohydrates, lipids etc.

There are four major classes of Biomolecules –  Carbohydrates, Proteins, Nucleic acids and Lipids.

tructure of flame

A flame consist of three zones. These are Innermost zone, middle zone, outer zone. The three zones of a flame have different colours and different temperature.

1) The Innermost zone of a flame is dark or black:It consist of hot, unburnt vapours of the combustible material. It is the least hot part of the flame. It is the coldest part of the flame.

2)The middle zone of a flame is yellow:It is bright and luminous. The fuel vapours burn partially in the middle zone because there is not enough air of burning in this zone. The partial burning of fuel in the middle zone produces carbon particles. These carbon particles then leave the flame as smoke and soot.It has moderate temperature.

3)The outer zone of a flame is blue:It is a non-luminous zone.In this zone, complete combustion of the fuel takes place because there is plenty of air around it.The outermost zone has the highest temperature in the flame. It is the hottest part of the flame. It is quite thin as compared to middle zone.

Brownian movement or motion is zigzag, random movement of microscopic particles suspended in a liquid or gas, caused by collisions between these particles and the molecules of the liquid or gas.

One of the most common examples of Brownian motion is diffusion. Cases, where pollutants are diffused in air or calcium diffused in bones can be considered examples of this effect.

i) Clarity in working relationships: The establishment of working relationships clarifies lines of communication and specifies who is to report to whom. This removes ambiguity in transfer of information and instructions. It helps in creating a hierarchical order thereby enabling the fixation of responsibility and specification of the extent of authority to be exercised by an individual.

  • An electric cell: It provides the source of current. In its symbol, the larger terminal is positive, whereas the smaller one is the negative terminal.

  • A battery: It is a combination of cells and its utility is the same as the cell.

  • Switch: It is a plug key used to allow or stop the flow of current upon being pressed. It may be an open or a closed switch.

  • Wire joint: One device may be connected to the other using wires. This is shown by drawing ‘blobs’ at their point of connectivity.

  • Wires crossing without joining: The wires that do not touch each other are drawn without blobs. The following figure shows how the separated wires are represented.

  • Electric bulb: The electrical device which uses electricity to glow.

  • Resistor (R): It is used to restrict the amount of current flow in the circuit.

  • Variable resistance: Also known as the rheostat, it is used to regulate the amount of current flow by increasing or decreasing the resistance to the current flow.

  • Ammeter: It is used to measure the current passing at a particular point.

  • Voltmeter: It is used to measure the voltage between two points in a circuit.

The elastic collision formula comprises two parts, namely elastic collision formula for kinetic energy and elastic collision for momentum.

However, Follow the Table Below to Understand What each Component in the Equation Signifies –

<colgroup> <col width="215" /> <col width="423" /> </colgroup>
  • m1

Mass of body 1

  • m2

Mass of body 2

  • u1

Initial velocity of body 1

  • u2

Initial velocity of body 2

  • v1

Final velocity of body 1

  • v2

Final velocity of body 2

Therefore, the formula for elastic collision kinetic energy is –

On the other hand, the elastic collision derivation for momentum is –

m1 u1 + m2 u2 = m1 v1 + m2 v2

A fundamental way to make sure whether a collision is elastic or inelastic is by equating their total kinetic energy. In case it remains the same as before and after the said collision, you can label it as elastic collision. Contrarily, a shift in the total kinetic energy suggests that the category of collision is inelastic.

However, the energy loss for inelastic collision usually dissipates into sound and heat energy. It helps in maintaining the balance of energy before and after.
