Photosynthesis is the name for the process by which plants convert energy from sunlight into energy for food. Photosynthesis, derived from the Greek words photo, meaning "light," and synthesis "putting together." This process also requires water and carbon dioxide.

It is the process by which plant manufacturers their own food in the presence of sunlight and chlorophyll with the help of carbon dioxide and water.

Functions of the RBI

  • The issuer of Currency: The RBI is the only authorized body that can issue currency in the country. So they print, distribute and regulate the flow of currency in the economy.
  • Banker to the Government: Even the Central and State government need basic banking functions. The RBI provides them with these facilities like depositing monies, remittances etc. It can also make advances and provide loans to the government whenever necessary.
  • Banker to other Banks: The Reserve Bank of India also supervises all other commercial banks in the country. It provides financial assistance to these banks like short-term loans and advances. The RBI also will dictate interest rates and the CRR limits to the commercial banks.
  • Regulator of Foreign Exchange: It is the function of the RBI to maintain the value of the rupee in the global economy. It does so by acting as the custodian of foreign exchange reserves in the country. It maintains enough reserves to battle against fluctuations.
  • Controls Credit in the Economy: This can be said to be the primary function of the Reserve Bank of India, the control of credit and money in the market. It uses qualitative and quantitative methods to either expand or contract the available credit in the economy according to circumstances.

Factoring  z2-7z-30

The first term is,  z2  its coefficient is  1 .
The middle term is,  -7z  its coefficient is  -7 .
The last term, "the constant", is  -30

Step-1 : Multiply the coefficient of the first term by the constant   1 • -30 = -30

Step-2 : Find two factors of  -30  whose sum equals the coefficient of the middle term, which is   -7 .

      -30    +    1    =    -29
      -15    +    2    =    -13
      -10    +    3    =    -7    That's it

Step-3 : Rewrite the polynomial splitting the middle term using the two factors found in step 2 above,  -10  and  3
                     z2 - 10z + 3z - 30

Step-4 : Add up the first 2 terms, pulling out like factors :
                    z • (z-10)
Add up the last 2 terms, pulling out common factors :
                    3 • (z-10)
Step-5 : Add up the four terms of step 4 :
                    (z+3)  •  (z-10)

Hence, z2−7z−30=(z−10)(z+3).

Indian Constitution is both rigid and flexible, because the procedure of amendment is neither easy nor difficult. The Constitution has provided a federal structure for India. The jurisdictions of the centre and state have been defined and demarcated. Both the centre and the states have been authorised to exercise powers independency. There are provisions which can change the Federal structure into a Unitary one. Amendments can be made only with the consent of both the Centre and the States. A special majority of the Union Parliament, i.e., a majority of not less then two-thirds vote is required to amend the Constitution. Thus Indian Constitution enjoys the advantages of a combination of flexibility and rigidity.

y²-5y-24
= y²-8y+3y-24
= y(y-8) + 3(y-8)
= (y-8) (y+3)

Detailed explanation:

Factoring  y2-5y-24

The first term is,  y2  its coefficient is  1 .
The middle term is,  -5y  its coefficient is  -5 .
The last term, "the constant", is  -24

Step-1 : Multiply the coefficient of the first term by the constant   1 • -24 = -24

Step-2 : Find two factors of  -24  whose sum equals the coefficient of the middle term, which is   -5 .

      -24    +    1    =    -23
      -12    +    2    =    -10
      -8    +    3    =    -5    That's it

Step-3 : Rewrite the polynomial splitting the middle term using the two factors found in step 2 above,  -8  and  3
                     y2 - 8y + 3y - 24

Step-4 : Add up the first 2 terms, pulling out like factors :
                    y • (y-8)
Add up the last 2 terms, pulling out common factors :
                    3 • (y-8)
Step-5 : Add up the four terms of step 4 :
                    (y+3)  •  (y-8)

Dialysis: The process of removing waste products and excess fluid from the body. Dialysis is necessary when the kidneys are not able to adequately filter the blood. Dialysis allows patients with kidney failure a chance to live productive lives. There are two types of dialysis: hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Each type of dialysis has advantages and disadvantages. Patients can usually choose the type of long term dialysis that best matches their needs.

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 1 month ago (2898529)

Dialysis is an artificial process of getting rid of waste and unwanted water from the blood by dialysis machines. Dialysis machines contain a tank with solution of water glucose and salt. Patient's blood allowed passing through solution for removal of waste. The cleaned blood pumped to vein.

  • Plasma is the medium of the blood, in which different types of blood cells exists. Red blood cells, white blood cells and other components of blood are suspended in plasma.
  • Plasma is the liquid part of the blood. It contains the clotting agent fibrinogen, which prevents the excessive flow of blood during injury. It also contains proteins which help in the transportation of glucose and other nutrients to different parts of the body.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 1 month ago (2577571)

Plasma is the fourth state of matter. Many places teach that there are three states of matter; solid, liquid and gas, but there are actually four. The fourth is plasma. To put it very simply, a plasma is an ionized gas, a gas into which sufficient energy is provided to free electrons from atoms or molecules and to allow both species, ions and electrons, to coexist. The funny thing about that is, that as far as we know, plasmas are the most common state of matter in the universe. They are even common here on earth. A plasma is a gas that has been energized to the point that some of the electrons break free from, but travel with, their nucleus. Gases can become plasmas in several ways, but all include pumping the gas with energy. A spark in a gas will create a plasma. A hot gas passing through a big spark will turn the gas stream into a plasma that can be useful. Plasma torches like that are used in industry to cut metals. The biggest chunk of plasma you will see is that dear friend to all of us, the sun. The sun's enormous heat rips electrons off the hydrogen and helium molecules that make up the sun. Essentially, the sun, like most stars, is a great big ball of plasma.

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 1 month ago (2898529)

Let first number = a,

second number = b

a = 27 ( given )

HCF(a,b) = 9

and

LCM (a,b) = 459

To find:

Value of b

solution:

HCF×LCM= product of two numbers

⇒27 b  = 9 × 459

⇒ b = 153

When Balban ascended the throne in A.D. 1266, he had to face a number of difficulties. To overcome these he adopted a very stern policy generally known as the ‘Blood and Iron’ policy. He took out his sword and used it against all the rebels, traitors, thieves etc. It was because of this bold policy that he was able to . maintain, peace and order in the country.
