Technical and economic development have led to more consumption of resources on account of various factors such as:

  •  Technological development provides sophisticated equipment. As a result, production increases ultimately leading to consumption of more resources.
  •  Technological development also leads to economic development. When the economic condition of a country rises, the needs of people also rise. It again results into more consumption of resources.
  • Economic development provides favorable environment for the development of latest technologies. It helps to make or convert various materials found around us into resources. Finally, it results into the consumption of new available resources too.

The primary male reproductive organ is a pair of testes. The testes lies in small sac like muscular structure outside the abdominal cavity called *******. ******* provides an optimal temperature for formation of sperm. This temperature is 1-3oC lower than the temperature of the body. The function of testes is to produce sperms and the male hormone (testosterone). Testes form sperms throughout the reproductive life (puberty stage onwards) of man. From each of the testis arises a long tube called vas deferens. It unites with a duct coming from the urinary bladder to form a common tube called urethra. The urethra is enclosed within a thick muscular organ, called *****, and opens to the outside through a male genital pore. There is only one opening for the urine and sperms.

  1. The per capita income in an underdeveloped economy is low,and therefore, majorityof the population live below the poverty line. Consequently, people in this economy live in miserable conditions.
  2. In mostunderdeveloped economies, the population growth rate is very high as compared to the other economies. Also, because of improved medical facilities, the mortality rate among all the sections of societyis reduced. As a result, as the population increases, the consumption of the limited resources also increases, resulting in less saving of resources and a slower growth rate.
  3. For many under developed economies enriched with large and sufficient resources, most of these resources remain underutilised because oflack of skilled personnel and technology.
  4. Underdeveloped economies suffer from widespread unemployment. Because of various reasons, such as rapid population growth and lack of investment, unemployment prevails in such an economy. It is estimated that underemployment and unemployment together constitute nearly30% of the workforce of an underdeveloped economy.
  5. Inequality in the distribution of income is prevalent in these economies. As a large part of the national income goes to smaller sections of society, the larger sections of society have to be satisfied with whatever part of income is available to them. According to the Human Development Index, the top 20% of India’s population receives 45.3% of the national income, while the poorest 20% of the population receives 8.1% of the national income.

Internal stress is stress that comes from within us and is often the most common cause of stress. We often worry about things we cannot control (e.g. whether we are going to lose our job) and we actually put ourselves into situations which we know will cause us stress.

Q.7 Read the following passage carefully : (8 Marks ) Corruption, in one form or another, is a worldwide phenomenon. But everyone admits that corruption is something ugly, immoral and detestable. Unfortunately, in our country, corruption has become a part of life. It has entered the very roots of the Indian society. Corruption, nepotism and dishonesty have tarnished every fabric of our social life. The law of a land is too weak to deal with the corrupt elements with an iron hand. The vested interests rule the roost. Everybody feels helpless in such a state of affairs. Some people have even started talking of the nationalization of corruption in the country. They argue that we should frankly admit that we are a corrupt nation and that we cannot do without it. It is a matter of shame and regret for all those who care to hear the call of their conscience. Corruption is prevailing at all levels — economic, social, administrative, moral and spiritual. During the past few years, the images of the country has been defaced beyond redemption. A large number of scams, involving top politicians, administrators and VVIPs have come to light. These scams, most of them unearthed by the Central Bureau of Investigation, involve huge sums running into thousands of crores. They have shaken the entire conscience of the country to the bones. The law enforcing agencies are seeking the help of the judicial process to bring the culprits to book. The judicial system however, is full of flaws and the culprits do not find it very difficult to cleverly escape the legal net. People are beginning to take corruption for granted. The root cause of corruption is red tape or delay. Persons found guilty should be punished severely. Exemplary punishments should be given to corrupt officials, national character should be improved. Smugglers, black marketeers and hoarders should be severely dealt with. Social and spiritual organizations can give a good healthy education to the public. Persons of strong character should be employed. The Government employees must be told to withstand any temptation while discharging their duties. Such officials as lay down noble standards of honesty and efficiency, should be encouraged and honoured at public functions. Dishonest public servants should not only be dismissed, but system of the country should be re-oriented to inculcate a spirit of honesty amongst the people. All ministers and public servants should be made to declare their assets. The vigilance department should keep a constant eye on the corrupt officers and other public servants. Ministers and senior officials must set noble examples of an honest living free from corruption, bribery, nepotism and immorality. The law of the land should be provided with more teeth to deal with the corrupt elements. Corruption, at any level, is bad. The Government should launch a vigorous campaign against this social evil. Charity, however, must begin at home. ( Words 484) On the basis of your reading the above passage , make notes on it, using abbreviations wherever necessary. Supply a suitable title also. A mechanical mouse has a ball that turns rollers inside. If friction is lost between the ball and the mousing surface, or between the ball and the rollers, the mouse fails to work. In order to assure good contact with the mousing surface, the ball must be fairly heavy. When you change directions with the mouse, you must make the ball change rolling directions--an action that inertia likes to prevent.
An optical mouse makes use of an LED and some optics to detect surface texture and the changes in it as the mouse is moved. There are no moving parts. My optical mouse works on all the surfaces I've tried it on except the white plastic fold-up tables. For those, a piece of paper serves as a suitable "mouse pad".
