B =x
L= x+7

Original Area =x×(x×7)=x^2+7x
New length =x+7-4=x+3
New breadth =x+3
New area =(x+3)(x+3)=x^2+6x+9
A2Q
=x^2+7x =x^2+6x+9
=x^2- x^2+7x=6x+9
=7x-6x=9
=x=9cm=Breadth
9+7=16cm=Length

let the lengths of two sides of the parallelogram be 4x cm and 3x cm respectively

⇒ its perimeter = 2(4x + 3x) cm = 8x + 6x = 14x cm.

∴ 14x = 210

⇔ x = 210/14 = 15

∴ one side = (4 × 15) cm = 60 cm and other side = (3 ×15) cm = 45 cm.

Yogita Ingle 5 years ago (2577571)

We need to study the past because history records the past as chain of events right till the present time. Hence, our present is shaped by events of the past. The past has a lot of effect on how the world around us exists at present. Hence, to understand the present, we must study and understand the past.

The population growth in India is quite alarming. It needs to be stopped immediately. Following can help to curb the population explosion:

1. Spread increasing awareness among people and conduct camps and education seminars for the same.

2. Increase the age limit for marriage and completely detain child marriages.

3. Increase the incentives to small families and promote contraception and family planing.

4. Remove social stigma associated with sexual health and educate school adolescence about the same.

let the lengths of two sides of the parallelogram be 4x cm and 13x cm respectively

⇒ its perimeter = 2(4x + 13x) cm = 8x + 26x = 34x cm.

∴ 34x = 210

⇔ x = 210/34 = 6.17

“The Sound of Summer Running” – Ray Bradbury https://grandstand.com/the-sound-of-summer-running/ Accessed 27 November, 2020 Read the excerpt below from the short story and answer the questions that follow. You need to use your knowledge of the entire story in your answer. All your answers must be in complete and correct sentences and NOT in bullet form. Mr Sanderson leaned forward. “How do they feel” The boy looked down at his feet deep in the rivers, in the fields of wheat, in the wind that already was rushing him out of the town. He looked up at the old man, his eyes burning, his mouth moving, but no sound came out. “Antelopes?” said the old man, looking from the boy’s face to his shoes. “Gazelles?” The boy thought about it, hesitated, and nodded a quick nod. Almost immediately he vanished. He just spun about with a whisper and went off. The door stood empty. The sound of the tennis shoes faded in the jungle heat. Mr Sanderson stood in the son-blazed door, listening. From a long time ago, when he dreamed as a boy, he remembered the sound. Beautiful creatures leaping under the sky, gone through brush, under trees, away, and only the soft echo their running left behind. “Antelopes,” said Mr Sanderson. “Gazelles.” He bent to pick up the boy’s abandoned winter shoes, heavy with forgotten rains and long-melted snows. Moving out of the blazing sun, walking softly, lightly, slowly, he headed back towards civilization. Let 3 other angles are x each

-----------------------------------

We know, sum of angles of a quadrilateral = 360

135 + x + x + x = 360

135 + 3x =360

3x = 360 - 135

3x = 225

x = 225/3

x = 75
Measure of other 3 angles = 75 each

Let the ratio be x :-
Sum of angles of a quadrilateral = 360°
=> 7x + 8x + 9x + 12x = 360
=> 15x + 21x = 360
=> 36x = 360
=> x = 360 ÷ 36
=> x = 10
Angles are :-
7x × 10 = 70
8x × 10 = 80
9x × 10 = 90
12x × 10 = 120

The proportion of people in developing countries living in extreme economic poverty i.e. on less than $ 1 per day as defined by World Bank has fallen from 28% in 1990 to 21% in 2001.     There has been a substantial reduction in global poverty, but it is marked with great regional differences

(c) In the countries of South Asia (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan) the decline has not been so rapid, it has declined marginally from 475 million in 1981 to 428 million in 2001.
(d) In the Sub Saharan Africa, poverty rose from 41% in 1981 to 46% in 2001.
 (e) In Latin America the ratio of poverty has remained the same.
  (f) Poverty has resurfaced in some of the former socialist countries like Russia, where it was non-existent earlier.

A common method used to measure poverty is based on income or consumption levels. A person is considered poor if his or her income or consumption level falls below a given “minimum level” necessary to fulfill basic needs. While determining the poverty line in India, a minimum level of food requirement, clothing, footwear, fuel and light, educational and medical requirement, etc. are determined for subsistence. These physical quantities are multiplied by their prices in rupees. The resent formula for food requirements while estimating the poverty line is based on the desired calorie requirement. As per 2000 figures; a family of five which is earning less than Rs. 1,640 per month is considered to be living below the poverty line. This figure is Rs. 2,270 per month for the urban area. The expected calorie intake has been fixed at 2400 calories per person in rural areas and 2100 calories in urban areas. A person consuming less than this amount is considered to be living below the poverty line.
