A concave mirror has the reflecting surface that caves inwards. Concave mirrors converge light to one prime focus point. Therefore, they are also called converging mirrors. They are used to focus light.
Concave Mirror
- A concave mirror produces a smaller, bigger and inverted image based on its distance from the object.
- When the distance between object and mirror is large, a small inverted virtual image is formed.
- As the object is brought closer, the image becomes larger.
- At a very close distance, the image is large and upright.

Several interconnected food chains form a food web. A food web is similar to a food chain but the food web is comparatively larger than a food chain. Occasionally, a single organism is consumed by many predators or it consumes several other organisms. Due to this, many trophic levels get interconnected, and the food chain fails to showcase the flow of energy in the right way. But, the food web is able to show the proper representation of energy flow, as it displays the interactions between different organisms.
When there are more cross interactions between different food chains, the food web gets more complex. This complexity in a food web leads to a more sustainable ecosystem.

DISCOVERY OF ELECTRON:
The Electron was discovered by J.J Thomson by conducting a Cathode ray tube experiment.
For the experiment he used Crooke’s tube, which was 60cm long glass tube and had a small tube attached. To this small tube vacuum pump was attached, it also had two metal plates which were connected to battery by wires.

The tube contained gas at atmospheric pressure. when current at high voltage (10,000volts) was passed following observations were made:
- When current was passed through a gas at 1 atmospheric pressure and at a very high voltage, nothing happened. That is no visible effect was seen inside the tube.
- Then further the pressure of gas was reduced by pumping the air out, with the help of vacuum pump. The pressure was reduced to 10-2atm, then on passing current it was seen that whole tube started glowing green.
Then further the pressure was reduced to 10-4It was seen the whole glow vanished, but it was seen that at the end of the tube (anode side) there was a faint green glow observed.
To confirm the faint glow anode was made perforated, and a zinc sulphide screen (fluorescent material) was placed behind it.
When current was passed under same conditions it also started glowing green. This confirmed that under those conditions some rays were emitted through cathode, and were travelling towards anode. Those rays were called as cathode rays and found to consist of negatively charged particles called electron.

Inflationary gap occurs when AD>AS corresponding to full employment level. This inflationary gap, i.e. excess of Aggregate Demand causes inflation in the economy and price levels tend to rise.

In this figure,
{{AD}_{FE}} = AD at full employment level
{{AD}_{AE}} = AD above full employment level
The point E is the equilibrium point where AD= AS. But there is excess demand (current) at {{AD}_{AE}}, where Aggregate
Demand FP is more than the Aggregate Supply in the economy. This difference of actual Aggregate Demand and
Supply, i.e. EF is the inflationary gap.
Inflationary Gap = Excess Demand = {{AD}_{AE}} -
{{AD}_{FE}} = EF
Role of Legal Reserves to Correct the Problem of Inflationary Gap
Legal reserves like Cash Reserve Ratio and Statutory Liquidity Ratio are the tools to correct the problem of inflationary
gap:
(i) Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) Each and every commercial bank has to keep a certain proportion of its demand and time deposits in the form of cash and other liquid assets with the Central Bank. This ratio is termed as Cash Reserve Ratio. To correct the problem of inflationary gap, the Central Bank increases the CRR. It reduces the supply of money and credit creation capabilities of commercial banks. Due to lesser supply of money, the Aggregate Demand comes down and the economy attains equilibrium situation.
(ii) Statutory Liquidity Ratio (SLR) It refers to a fixed percentage of the total assets of a bank in the form of cash or other liquid assets that is required to be maintained by the bank. During the situation of inflationary gap, SLR is increased. This reduces the credit creation capacity of commercial banks and reduces the flow of money in the economy. As a result of that, the Aggregate Demand comes down and ultimately, the economy attains equilibrium.

Hydra reproduces by the method of budding. A small outgrowth called bud is formed on one side of its body by repetitive mitotic division. This bud gradually grows into a full hydra, developing its mouth and tentacles. The new Hydra detaches itself from its parent and start living as a separate organism.
