Belgium, a small European country, has Dutch-, French- and German-speaking populations. While 59% of the total population of the country live in the Flemish region and speak Dutch, the other 40% of the people live in the Wallonia region and speak French. In Brussels, the capital of Belgium, about 80% of the people speak French, while the remaining 20% speak Dutch.

 (i) Draw BC = 7 cm.

(ii) Construct ∠YBC = 75°.

(iii) From ray BY, cut-off line segment BD = AB + BC = 13cm.

(iv) Join CD.

(v) Draw the perpendicular bisector of CD meeting BY at A.

(vi) Join AC to obtain the required triangle ABC.

 Justification

Since A lies on the perpendicular bisector of CD.

∴  AC = AD

Now   BD = 13 cm

⇒  BA + AD = 13 cm

⇒  BA + BC = 13cm

Hence, △ABC is the required triangle.

The narrator and his wife had always dreamt of sailing. They wanted to do a round-the-world voyage like Captain James Cook had done 200 years earlier. For sixteen years they spent all their leisure time improving their seafaring skills in the British waters. They took a boat, Wavewalker, that was 23 metres, and weighed 30 ton. It had been professionally built and they spent months fitting it out and testing it in the roughest weather that they could find. Finally, in July 1976, the family set out to sail from Plymouth, England.

Public baths were a striking feature of Roman urban life (when one Iranian ruler tried to introduce then into Iran, he encountered the wrath of the clergy there! Water was a sacred element and to use it for public bathing may have seemed a desecration to them), and urban populations also enjoyed a much higher level of entertainment.

For example, one calendar tells us that spectacular (shows) filled no less than 176 days of the year!

When they reached the southern Indian Ocean, one of the world’s roughest seas, they began to encounter strong winds. Apart from the gales, the size of the waves was alarming. It was as high as the main mast. Things became worse on 2 January when the waves became huge. The ship rose to the top of each wave and they could see endless waves approaching them, and the screaming of the wind seemed horrifying to them. To slow the boat down, they dropped the storm jib and lashed a heavy mooring rope in a loop across the stem. Then they double-lashed everything, went through their life-raft drill, attached lifelines, donned oilskins and life jackets.

As we know Germenium Ge has the ground state electron configuration of 1s2, 2s2, 2p6, 3s2, 3p6, 4s2, 3d10, 4p2

Now in the condition of GeX2 the two electrons are removed from the p shell,

and in case of GeX4 the more two electrons are removed from 4s shell because it has low energy than d shell and the rest configuration remains same .

Now according to the question GeX4 is more stable because it does not have a full valence so it is unfilled valance so GeX4 is more stable than GeX2.

On the other hand,

in pbx2 , oxidation state of pb =+2

and pbx4 , oxidation state of pb =+4

we know ,

oxidation state of +2 is more stable than +4 . due to inert pair effect.

RBCs are the biconcave cells and without nucleus in humans; also known as erythrocytes. RBCs contain the iron-rich protein called haemoglobin;  give blood its red colour. RBCs are the most copious blood cell produced in bone marrows. Their main function is to transport oxygen from and to various tissues and organs.

Leucocytes are the colourless blood cells. They are colourless because it is devoid of haemoglobin. They are further classified as granulocytes and agranulocytes. WBCs mainly contribute to immunity and defence mechanism.

Following are the important functions of the nuclear membrane:

  • The nuclear envelope has tiny holes which are identified as nuclear pores. The pores enable the content to flow in and out of the nucleus. It also connects the outer membrane and the inner membrane.
  • The nuclear envelope’s surface area extends and doubles the nuclear pores during the interphase part of cell division.
  • Nuclear membrane shields the nucleus with a double membrane by many pores that help in controlling the crossing of macromolecules such as proteins and RNA and permit free passage of water, ions, ATP and small molecules. The membrane controls the flow of information in the cell as it is conducted by the macromolecules.

Value of p³ + q³ - r³ - 3pqr

= 4³ + ( -3 )³ - 2³ - 3 × 4 × ( - 3 ) × 2

= 64 - 27 - 8 + 72

= 136 - 35
