A mean colour is that colour whose wavelength lies in between that of violet and red. For white light, yellow colour is, generally, taken to be the mean colour.
If the refractive indices corresponding to the mean colour, violet and red are μ, μv and μr respectively. The deviation corresponding to yellow colour is taken as the mean deviation.

Because the HCF of two numbers is also the factor of their multiples, therefore 200, 400 and 600 divide 1200 but 500 does not.

The K.E(KINETIC ENERGY) of the object is 25 J.
So, 25=1/2 × m × (5)2
Therefore,m=2 kg.
Now, when the velocity is doubled, velocity becomes=2*5=10 m/s(ms-1)
So,
K.E.=1/2 × 2 × (10)2 =100 J.
Now, when the velocity is increased three times, the velocity will be=3×5=15m/s
Therefore,K.E.=1/2×2×(15)2 = 225 J.

A strong wind was blowing when Tut's body was being taken out of its resting place which was the Egyptian cemetery named the Valley of the Kings. There were dark clouds in the sky shielding the stars from view. There was something eerie in the atmosphere when Tut's body was disturbed. But the wind had stopped when the CT scan was over and Tut's body was brought back to where it belonged. It was winter and the wind was cold and still like death.

A man has to learn a lot of things from his past to face the present for a bright future. One can never learn only from imagination. We need to have solid, concrete proof in front of us to enhance our knowledge. E.g., if King Tut's mummy was not subjected to scientific scrutiny, we would never have known more about the great and the last heir of a powerful family that had ruled Egypt for centuries. There is certainly a need to use scientific invention to find what happened to someone, centuries ago. If we want to know what happened long time back, we can read about it in History. The scientific, scrutiny of King Tut's mummy helped the modern world to discover a lot of things about the king that would, otherwise, have remained unknown. King Tut v/as the last heir of a powerful family who died young. Whether he has murdered or died a natural death is a matter of interest to archaeologists.

Carter had to chisel away the solidified resins to raise the King's remains. Answer Carter had to chisel away the solidified resins to raise the King's remains because the ritual resins had hardened, cementing Tut to the bottom of his solid gold coffin, which no amount of legitimate force could move.

The three phases of the author’s relationship with his grandmother before he left the country to study abroad are given below.
The first phase was the period of the author’s early childhood. During this phase, he used to live with his grandmother in the village. The grandmother used to take care of him from waking him up and getting him ready to accompany him to the school. Both shared a good friendship with each other.
The second phase was the time when the author and the grandmother moved to the city to live with the author’s parents. This was a turning point in their friendship because now they ‘saw less of each other’.
The third phase was the time the author joined the University. He was given a room of his own and the common link of their friendship was snapped. The grandmother turns to wheel-spinning and reciting prayers all day long. She accepts her seclusion with silence.

Yes, Margie had regular days and hours for school because her mother believed that learning at regular hours helped little girls learn better. So, her mechanical teacher always turned on at the same time every day except on Saturdays and Sundays.

The County inspector was called to see why Margie was performing poorly in the tests. When he came , he took the teacher apart and repaired it by lowering the level of the geography sector to that of an average 10 year old girl. Margie had anticipated that the teacher would be taken away for some days , but it was not so . Therefore , she was disappointed with his arrival. But the county Inspector pacified Mrs Jones by saying that the overall performance of her girl was satisfactory and there was a gearing-up in the geography sector that had an effect on her performance . there was nothing to worry about.
In short - the county Inspector pacified Mrs Jones by saying that the overall performance of her girl was satisfactory and there was a gearing-up in the geography sector that had an effect on her performance . there was nothing to worry about.

She thought that the old kind of school must have been fun as she imagined all the kids from the entire neighbourhood coming together, laughing and shouting in the schoolyard. She imagined that they would sit together in the classroom and go home together at the end of the day. They would learn the same things and could help one another with the homework and talk about it. Also, the teachers were people. All these aspects made her believe that the old kind of school must have been fun.

Margie hated school because her school was quite mechanical. The school was at her home. It was a room with a computer teacher in it. the computer teacher was devoid of all the qualities that a human teacher has. There were no classmates in the class. She had to study all by herself. She had particularly started hating her school more because of late the mechanical teacher had been giving her test after test in geography and she was not doing well in them.
