Reflection of light is the phenomenon of bouncing back of light in the same medium on striking the surface of any object.
• The two laws of reflection are:
(i) the incident ray, the reflected ray and the normal (at the point of incidence), all lie in the same plane.
(ii) the angle of reflection (<i>r</i>) is always equal to the angle of incidence (<i>i</i>)
∠<i>r</i> = ∠<i>i</i>
Yogita Ingle 5 years ago (2577571)
- The law of reflection defines that upon reflection from a smooth surface, the angle of the reflected ray is equal to the angle of the incident ray, with respect to the normal to the surface that is to a line perpendicular to the surface at the point of contact.
- The reflected ray is always in the plane defined by the incident ray and the normal to the surface at the point of contact of the incident ray.

| Balanced forces | Unbalanced forces |
| If a set of forces acting on a body produce no acceleration in it, then forces are said to be balanced. | If a set of forces acting on a body produces some non zero acceleration, forces are said to be unbalanced. |
| e.g. When we try to push a heavy box and it does not move, the force applied by us is balanced by the friction force acting on the box by the ground. | e.g. When we drag a box on the floor, there is an unbalanced force acting on the box. |

Let v be the velocity of the girl on the cart as the cart starts moving.
The total momenta of the girl and cart before the interaction = (50 x 5 m s-1) + (4 x 0 m s-1)
= 250 kg m s-1
The total momenta after the interaction = (50 + 4) kg x v m s-1
= 54 v kg m s-1
According to the law of conservation of momentum,
Total momentum before the interaction = Total momentum after the interaction
→ 54 v = 250
v = 250/54 = 4.62 m/s

Albert Einstein was really a scientific genius. He felt at home in Mathematics but he showed keen interest in physics. After graduating from the university in Zurich he started working vigorously. With his university education he was working on relativity.

Any changes which can be reversed or are a temporary conversion are known as reversible changes. The reactions which are reversible are called reversible reactions. In this reaction, one substance is modified into another form but a new compound is not formed. Processes such as melting, boiling, evaporation, freezing, condensation, dissolution are reversible changes. Few examples are melting of wax, freezing of ice, boiling water which evaporates as steam and condenses back to water.

Let the speed of the second train be x km hr. Then, the speed of the first train is (x + 5) km/hr.
Let O be the position of the railway station from which the two trains leave.

Distance travelled by the first train in 2 hours
= OA = Speed x Time
= 2 (x + 5) km
Distance travelled by the second train in 2 hours
= OB = Speed x Time
= 2x km
By using pythagoras theorem, we have,
AB2 = OA2 + OB2
⇒ 502 = {2(x + 5)}2+ {2x}2
⇒ 2500 = 4(x + 5)2 + 4x2
⇒ 8x2 + 40x – 2400 = 0
⇒ x2 + 5x – 300 = 0
⇒ x2 + 20x – 15x – 300 = 0
⇒ x (x + 20) – 15 (x + 20) = 0
⇒ (x + 20) (x – 15) = 0
⇒ x = –20 or x = 15
⇒ x = 15
[∵ cannot be negative]
Hence, the speed of the second train is 15 km/hr and the speed of the first train is 20 km/hr.

| 1. | Compiler scans the whole program in one go. | Translates program one statement at a time. |
| 2. | As it scans the code in one go, the errors (if any) are shown at the end together. | Considering it scans code one line at a time, errors are shown line by line. |
| 3. | Main advantage of compilers is it’s execution time. | Due to interpreters being slow in executing the object code, it is preferred less. |
| 4. | It converts the the instructions into systematic code. | It doesn’t convert the instructions instead it directly works on source language. |

i-low, ii-spontaneous, iii-Kerosene
The minimum temperature at which a substance catches fire is called ignition temperature. The ignition temperature of sodium is very low. Hence, it catches fire easily at room temperature. It reacts vigorously with oxygen at room temperature. To prevent its spontaneous combustion, it is stored under kerosene.

Answer : Folding and faulting are caused due to the compressional and tensional forces deep inside the Earth. They result in the occurrence of Earthquakes.
Extra explanation:
The difference between folding and faulting is that folding is the pressure of converging plates causing the crust to fold and buckle, resulting in the creation of mountains and hills and faulting is where cracks in the earth's rock are created because of different movement of tectonic plates.

Haemoglobin is the respiratory pigment that transports oxygen to the body cells for cellular respiration. Therefore, deficiency of haemoglobin in blood can affect the oxygen supplying capacity of blood. This can lead to deficiency of oxygen in the body cells. It can also lead to a disease called anaemia. The average haemoglobin content of blood, irrespective of ***, is 14.5 gm per 100 mL.
