A classical Chinese landscape does not stick very close to reality. It leaves enough scope for the viewer to use his imagination. The painting can be looked at from any angle and from any viewpoint. One need not see it through the eyes of the painter. The scroll on which the artist paints has white, blank spaces left after every painting. It gives freedom to the viewer to travel up and down. It captures the essence of the inner life.
A European or Western painting, on the other hand, is realistic. The painter wants you to look at it exactly as he had seen it. From a particular angle. It creates an illusion of delicate realism. The story of Quinten in the 15th century illustrates this point clearly. He entered a painter’s studio slyly and painted a fly on the artist’s blank canvas. The artist mistook it for a real fly and tried to drive it away. That story is representative of Western painting.

Suppose the numerator of the fraction be x
Denominator of the fraction be y
{tex}\therefore{/tex} the fraction is {tex}\frac{x}{y}{/tex}
According to the question,
The sum of the numerator and denominator of the fraction is 12.
{tex}\Rightarrow x + y = 12{/tex}
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} {tex}x + y - 12 = 0{/tex}
If the denominator is increased by 3, the fraction becomes {tex}\frac{1}{2}{/tex}.
{tex}\Rightarrow \frac{x}{{y + 3}} = \frac{1}{2}{/tex}
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} {tex}2x = (y + 3){/tex}
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} {tex}2x - y - 3 = 0{/tex}
So, we have two equations
{tex}x + y - 12 = 0{/tex}
{tex}2x - y - 3 = 0{/tex}
Here x and y are unknowns.
We have to solve the above equations for x and y.
By using cross-multiplication,
{tex}\Rightarrow \frac{x}{{(1) \times ( - 3) - ( - 1) \times - 12}}{/tex} {tex} = \frac{{ - y}}{{1 \times ( - 3) - 2 \times - 12}}{/tex} {tex}= \frac{1}{{1 \times ( - 1) - 2 \times (1)}}{/tex}
{tex}\Rightarrow \frac{x}{{ - 3 - 12}}{/tex} {tex}= \frac{{ - y}}{{ - 3 + 24}} = \frac{1}{{ - 1 - 2}}{/tex}
{tex}\Rightarrow \frac{x}{{ - 15}} = \frac{{ - y}}{{21}} = \frac{1}{{ - 3}}{/tex}
{tex}\Rightarrow \frac{x}{{15}} = \frac{y}{{21}} = \frac{1}{3}{/tex}
{tex}\Rightarrow x = \frac{{15}}{3},\;y = \frac{{21}}{3}{/tex}
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} {tex}x = 5, y = 7{/tex}
The fraction is {tex}\frac{5}{7}{/tex}

There are two types of mixtures: heterogeneous and homogeneous. Heterogeneous mixtures have visually distinguishable components, while homogeneous mixtures appear uniform throughout. The most common type of homogenous mixture is a solution, which can be a solid, liquid, or gas.

Beginning 135,000 years ago, tropical Africa experienced megadroughts which drove humans from the land and towards the sea shores, and forced them to cross over to other continents. ... Fossils of early Homo sapiens were found in Qafzeh and Es-Skhul Caves in Israel and have been dated 80,000 to 100,000 years ago.
