There are two major legends about the discovery of tea the first one is regarding the Chinese emperor who used to boil the water before drinking every time one day when he was boiling is water suddenly some leaves fell into his boiled water and give it a delicious taste it was stated that those leaves were tea leaves. The second one is about an Indian ascetic named bodhidharma who felt asleep while meditation so he cut off his eyelids and throw at the place where the pilot spell a plant grows it is believed that when he drink the boiled water with the plant leaves which helped her to overcome his sleep
