Install NowDelhi high court has issued notice to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Delhi government on a student’s plea for a direction to correct his father’s name on examination certificates, which was not done despite several attempts.
The notice was issued Friday by Justice Kailash Gambhir to the CBSE, the Delhi government and the government-run Boys Senior Secondary School in north Delhi, seeking their response by Sep 13.
The court was hearing a petition filed by the student, Mukesh Kumar, through his lawyer Ashok Agarwal. According to the petition, Mukesh was admitted to Class 6 of the Boys Senior Seceondary School of Karala area April 24, 2000. “At the time of admission, as per the school records, his father?s name was correctly registered in the school records as Ram Pratap ,said the petition. Mukesh appeared for Class 10 exams in 2007.
