Central Teacher Eligibility Test is a mandatory examination to teach in primary and elementary classes. First CTET exam was conducted in June 2011. There are two separate examinations in CTET i.e. Paper-1 and Paper-2. CTET Paper-1 is for those who wish to teach in primary classes and Paper-2 is for elementary teachers.
