Install NowCBSE follows a unique question paper design for each subject. Questions are framed in such a way that all major concepts are covered and all difficulty levels are included. Now, to do so the question paper setter has to make a blue print to frame questions
and this blue print is the key to exactly guess what type of questions will be asked from which chapter and what will be the weightage for each question.
Where to focus: If you deeply examine the question paper pattern used in last 3-4 years, you will understand where to focus for getting good marks. You will easily understand that question from same concept, is not repeated next year. Means if there is a chapter on world war-II and every year one 5 mark question is asked from it and if last year, they asked question on outcomes of world war-II; this year, they may ask causes of world war-II. Definitely the same question will not be asked next year.
Understand difficulty level: The study of previous year papers helps you understand the difficulty level of the questions. If you are using refreshers and help books to study in deep, you may have hundreds of questions but they all are not important for exam prospective. For example, in class-11 chemistry, you will find lots of questions on introduction to chemistry like what is chemistry? Such questions are never asked in examination. So, prepare questions what are exactly asked in your exam.
Time Management: Most of the students miss some questions in exam, only because they had no time left to attempt them. This common issue can be handled easily with real time practice of previous year question papers. It is suggested to solve these question papers in 3 hours (prefer 10:30 am to 01:30 pm i.e. your real exam time) and check your speed.
Stress Management: It is very important to keep cool and calm during exam time but it is a bit difficult if you are writing it for the first time. So, make it a usual event. Do practice, going through a real question paper and solving it in real time. This way, previous year question papers will help you conquer the stress.
So friends, download CBSE previous year papers and practice them as much as possible.
