CBSE Post-Result Psychological Counselling 2009

For the 12th year the second phase of CBSE counseling has been launched from 20th May upto 3rd June 2009, through TELE HELPLINE, IVRS AND CBSE WEBSITE. Psychological help is provided to the students during this time to cope with post result situations successfully.

Tele-Helpline: As many as 37 principals, trained counselors from CBSE affiliated govt. and private schools, psychologists and social scientists will operate this telephonic helpline individually from 8 AM-8 PM in four time slots. Out of these 34 participants are from India located at 18 centres in the country namely Delhi, Noida, Chandigarh, Meerut, Jaipur, Faridabad, Bhubneshwar, Hyderabad, Vishakhapatnam, Jamnagar, Jabalpur, Coimbatore, Bhopal, Nagpur, Bangalore  Guwahati, Baroda and Kollam.

Besides, these there are 3 centres overseas in Dubai, Doha-Qatar, Kuwait. Tele-counseling will be provided by these individual volunteers free of cost.

For better accessibility and convenience of the students, the tele helpline numbers have been arranged according to 4 hr. time slot and students are advised to call the numbers according to the given timings only.  The detailed list is enclosed for wider publicity.

IVRS: First to be introduced by any board of education in the country, CBSE has made a unique effort to provide tele-counseling through Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) mode for the fifth consecutive year. In order to enable more and more examinees to avail the facility of counseling reaching out especially to students in far flung areas.

This service shall be available on local dial facilities within Mumbai for the subscribers of MTNL on 1250 111 102, for BSNL (landline & Mobile) and AIRTEL landline users this will run behind a seven digit number 1250102. For Reliance users the service will be available on 55500102.
