Babies have more bones than adults because as they grow up, some of the bones fuse together to form one bone. This is because babies have more cartilage than bone. New born babies have around 305 bones. A baby's skeleton is mostly made up of cartilage.

Van der Waals equation is an equation relating the relationship between the pressure, volume, temperature, and amount of real gases. For a real gas containing ‘n’ moles, the equation is written as;
{tex}\left( P+\frac{a{{n}^{2}}}{{{V}^{2}}} \right)\left( V-nb \right)=n\,R\,T\,(P+V2an2)(V−nb)=nRT{/tex}
Where, P, V, T, n are the pressure, volume, temperature and moles of the gas. ‘a’ and ‘b’ constants specific to each gas.
The equation can further be written as;
- Cube power of volume: {tex}{{V}^{3}}-\left( b+\frac{RT}{P} \right){{V}^{2}}+\frac{a}{P}V-\frac{ab}{P}=0V3−(b+PRT)V2+PaV−Pab=0{/tex}
- Reduced equation (Law of corresponding states) in terms of critical constants:
{tex}\left( \pi +\frac{3}{{{\varphi }^{2}}} \right)\left( 3\varphi -1 \right)=8\tau :\,\,where\,\,\pi =\frac{P}{Pc},\varphi =\frac{V}{Vc}\,\,\,and\,\,\tau =\frac{T}{Tc}(π+φ23)(3φ−1)=8τ:whereπ=PcP,φ=VcVandτ=TcT{/tex}

Taplow narrates the incident about one day when Mr. Crocker Harris made one of his classical jokes in the class which no one understood.
Taplow laughed out of politeness. Instead of feeling thankful, Mr. Crocker Harris asked Taplow to explain the joke to the class.
This incident proved that Mr. Crocker Harris did not like 'being liked'.

PPC is concave to the origin because of increasing Marginal opportunity cost. This is because inorder to increase the production of one good by 1 unit more and more units of the other good have to be sacriced since the resources are limited and are not equally efficient in the production of both the goods.

- In Punjab there were two linguistic t groups, Hindi speaking and Punjabi speaking. Punjabi speaking groups were not getting full support from non-Punjabi groups, hence they wanted a separate ‘ state for themselves.
- Akali Dal was leading the Punjabi Susa movement without getting full support of non-Sikhs and other castes within Sikhs. This movement was not as strong as in other states. So Punjab had to wait.

The Sanchi stupa was built around 3rd century BC by Ashoka at Sanchi, about 60 km from Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. The railings made of wood used in this structure were eventually replaced by stone railings during the Sunga period. The <i>stupa</i> has four gateways in each direction. Interestingly, the gateways have panels depicting the life events of Buddha and some <i>Jataka</i> stories. In these panels, Buddha is symbolised by <i>peepal</i> tree, lotus or a wheel. The pillars have capitals on their top which have sculptures of lions.
