Prejudices are examples of attitudes towards a particular group. They are usually negative, and in many cases, may be based on stereotypes (the cognitive component) about the specific group while  stereotype is a cluster of ideas regarding the characteristics of a specific group.

Prejudice generally based on ethnicity, race, gender, caste and the like who mostly tend to show negative feelings towards people belonging to other groups while Stereotype described as classifying people based on their membership in a particular group, based on a certain preconceived belief which can be negative, positive or neutral and can be based on factors like gender, ethnicity, occupation etc.

Stereotypes consist of undesirable characteristics about the target group, and they lead to negative attitudes or prejudices towards members of specific groups. The cognitive component of prejudice is frequently accompanied by dislike or hatred, the affective component while Prejudice may also get translated into discrimination, the behavioural component, whereby people behave in a less positive way towards a particular target group compared to another group which they favour.

Prejudice is not based on a truth and usually originates from the lack of knowledge about a certain group of people while stereotype might be based on a truth. However, a stereotype can originate  from prejudice.

When a dispute arises, often the best course of action is negotiation to resolve the disagreement. HRD Minister Ramesh Nishank announced a major CBSE syllabus reduction for the new academic year 2020-21 on July 7 which was soon followed by an official notification by CBSE on the same.

Considering the loss of classroom teaching time due to the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdown, CBSE reduced the syllabus of classes 9 to 12 with the help of suggestions from NCERT.

The CBSE syllabus has been rationalized keeping intact the learning outcomes so that the core concepts of students can be retained.

CBSE stated in its notification that the deleted portions of the CBSE syllabus should not be considered for internal assessments or for the year-end board exams.

Arguments against Social Responsibility:

  1. Violation of Profit Maximization: As per this argument, business enterprises claim that our objective is profit maximization. Business can reduce its cost and raise profits and then only it can meet its social responsibility.
  2. Lack of Social Skills: Business enterprises neither have skill nor experience to solve all types of social problems. Therefore, it should be handled by specialized agencies.
  3. Burden on Consumers: Many of the social responsibilities cost a lot and its burden falls on consumers only.
  4. Lack of Broad Public Support: Business cannot operate successfully because of lack of cooperation and confidence on behalf of public to business enterprises.

The royal capital of Mari flourished after 2000 BCE. Mari is situated much further upstream on the Euphrates; rather than on the fertile southern plain. Some communities in the kingdom of Mari had both farmers and pastoralists. Most of its territory was used for pasturing sheep and goats. Exchange of materials was the norm between herders and farmers. But access or denial of access to water resources often led to conflict between herders and farmers. Nomadic communities of the western desert often came to the prosperous agricultural heartland. Some of them also worked as harvest laborers or hired soldiers. Some of them became prosperous and settled down. A few gained power to establish their own rule. Akkadians, Amorites, Assyrians and Aramaeans were examples of such herders.

COVID – 19 | The Coronavirus, a pandemic has made us realize that we all are connected and this entire world is a family. Although connected, medical experts have suggested social distancing as one of the perfect solution to fight against the new evil. Our honourable Prime Minister – Narendra Modi Ji indicated how COVID-19 chain can be splintered with the 21 days country lock-down. But to flatten the curve of COVID-19, the lock-down must be respected & accepted by 130 crore Indians altogether. Youth in India constitutes about more than one-fourth of the total population. We as a responsible youth of this country should participate in this battle against the zoonotic disease. Now, let’s understand the role of youth in this battle. To name some of them from the canvas of history – Lenin, the Russian youth had a major contribution to the Russian revolution Likewise Mazzini & Bhagat Singh also contributed their role for the country. This battle can be won by helping the government in this time of exigency. We can spread the right awareness in our Dosti, Family, XYZ, etc. 24 * 7 Watsapp group with the right information about the Virus. Watsapp/Social media groups always have as much as traffic on our roads. Let’s spread the right music among our acquaintances during this situation. Every religious activity has been on halt in lieu of corona-virus outbreak, Still if we see any of the gathering around. It’s our responsibility to guide and report if required. The Constitution of India, is the holy book for every Indian citizen & every-order must be accepted as a commandment. We live in a democracy & we have every right to put our thoughts on the table but this is the time to unite and stand with our government. Admittedly, there is much blot about being tested positive for COVID-19 and facing quarantine for a couple of week(s). But “Whatever gets measured gets managed”, If the positive cases are effectively measured, we shall be able to contain the outbreak effectively. So it’s our responsibility to spread the right kind of awareness within the family, society or acquaintances rather than wasting time on optional stuff. The outbreak of corona-virus has also affected the mental health of humans as everyone reacts differently to stressful situations. So in this hour of stress/anxiety let’s spread the right knowledge, right humours, right videos and ensure them that we are going to win this battle. To understand better “It is not the Corona-virus which is dangerous but it is the quick spread which is a threat”. Let’s us do our part and participate in this battle by staying at home.
