  • The air molecules expands on heating and contracts on cooling. The hot air molecules occupy more space than cold air molecules.
  • The hot air molecules are more heavier than the cold air molecules.
  • The warm air rises up and the cold air remains settled at the bottom.
  • The warm air rises and it develops low pressure in the area, and the surrounding cooler air is relatively at the higher pressure.
  • For example, two test tubes are taken and the open end is covered with the balloon. The test tubes are immersed in the hot and cold water respectively.
  • The air inside the hot air balloon will expand and the balloon will swell and the balloon get sucked inside the balloon when exposed to the cold air.

Mughal dynasty, Mughal also spelled Mogul, Persian Mughal, Muslim dynasty of Turkic-Mongol origin that ruled most of northern India from the early 16th to the mid-18th century. After that time it continued to exist as a considerably reduced and increasingly powerless entity until the mid-19th century. The Mughals began to rule parts of India from 1526, and by 1700 ruled most of the sub-continent. After that they declined rapidly, but nominally ruled territories until the 1850s. The Mughals were a branch of the Timurid dynasty of Turco-Mongol origin from Central Asia.

A laboratory thermometer cannot be used to measure the human body temperature. This is because as soon as we take out the bulb of the laboratory thermometer from our mouth, the level of mercury in its tube will start falling quickly. This will give a wrong value of the body temperature. Laboratory thermometers are also designed for lab purposes such as checking boiling point, freezing point, or temperature of other substances.

If u equals to {1, 2, 3, 4,.....,10} is the universal set for the two sets a={2,3,4,5} and b={1,2,3,4,5,6} then verify that (a u b)" equals to a" n b"

Given

     a = { 2, 3, 4, 5 }   and   b = { 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 }

Then

     a ∪ b = [ everything in one or the other ]

               = { 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 }

so

   ( a ∪ b )' = [ the complement, so everything in u that's not in a∪b ]

                  = { 7, 8, 9, 10 }.         ...(*)

Also

     a' = { 1, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 }    and    b' = { 7, 8, 9, 10 }

so

     a' ∩ b' = [ those elements in both a' and b' ]

                 = { 7, 8, 9, 10 }.          ...(**)

The sets at (*) and (**) are the same, verifying the relationship

    ( a ∪ b )' = a' ∩ b'.

A circle inscribed inside a triangle is called the incenter, and has a center called the incenter. A circled drawn outside a triangle is called a circumcircle, and it's center is called the circumcenter. Drag around the vertices of the triangle to see where the centers lie.

All the vertices of a triangle are equidistant from the circumcenter. In an acute-angled triangle, circumcenter lies inside the triangle. In an obtuse-angled triangle, it lies outside of the triangle. Circumcenter lies at the midpoint of the hypotenuse side of a right-angled triangle.

My Guide ... 5 years, 3 months ago (8786200)

The circumcenter is the center of the circumscribed circle (the intersection of the perpendicular bisectors of the three sides). The centroid is the intersection of the three medians of the triangle.

So, BR+BQ=5+5=10cm. Similarly, PA+AQ=10cm. So,PQ=10cm & QR=10cm. So, PR= (PQ)^2 + (QR)^2 PR= (10)^2+ (10)^2 = 100+100 PR=√200 = 14•2 (approximately)

In triangle ABQ all sides are equal (since, ABQ is an equilateral triangle). So, AB=BQ=QA=5cm.

ANSWER Given, Diagonals are equal AC=BD                  .......(1) and the diagonals bisect each other at right angles OA=OC;OB=OD           ...... (2) ∠AOB= ∠BOC= ∠COD=  ∠AOD= 900    ..........(3)   Proof: Consider △AOB and △COB OA=OC  ....[from (2)] ∠AOB= ∠COB OB is the common side Therefore, △AOB≅ △COB From SAS criteria, AB=CB Similarly, we prove △AOB≅ △DOA, so AB=AD △BOC≅ △COD, so CB=DC So, AB=AD=CB=DC               ....(4) So, in quadrilateral ABCD, both pairs of opposite sides are equal, hence ABCD is  parallelogram In △ABC and △DCB AC=BD            ...(from (1)) AB=DC            ...(from $$(4)$$) BC is the common side △ABC≅ △DCB So, from SSS criteria, ∠ABC= ∠DCB Now, AB∥CD,BC is the tansversal ∠B+∠C= 180 ∠B+∠B= 180 ∠B= 90 Hence, ABCD is a parallelogram with all sides equal and one angle is 90 So, ABCD is a square. Hence proved.

Let ∆ABC is a right triangle such that ∠B = 90 and D is mid point of AC . then we have to prove that BD = 1/2 AC we produce BD to E such that BD = AC and EC.   Now is ∆ADB and ∆CDE we have  AD = DC [Given]  BD = DE [By construction]  And, ∠ADB = ∠CDE [Vertically opposite angles]  ∴ By SAS criterion of congruence we have  ∆ADB ≅ ∆CDE  ⇒ EC = AB and ∠CED = ∠ABD ....(i) [By cpctc]  But ∠CED & ∠ABD are alternate interior angles  ∴ CE ║ AB ⇒ ∠ABC + ∠ECB = 1800 [Consecutive interior angles] ⇒ 90 + ∠ECB = 1800  ⇒ ∠ECB = 900  Now, In ∆ABC & ∆ECB we have  AB = EC [By (i)]  BC = BC [Common]  And, ∠ABC = ∠ECB = 900  ∴ BY SAS criterion of congruence  ∆ABC ≅ ∆ECB  ⇒ AC = EB [By cpctc]  ⇒ 1/2 AC = 1/2 EB  ⇒ BD = 1/2 AC
