1. Determine which of the following polynomials has (x + 1) a factor:
(i) x3+x2+x+1
Solution:
Let p(x) = x3+x2+x+1
The zero of x+1 is -1. [x+1 = 0 means x = -1]
p(−1) = (−1)3+(−1)2+(−1)+1
= −1+1−1+1
= 0
∴By factor theorem, x+1 is a factor of x3+x2+x+1
(ii) x4+x3+x2+x+1
Solution:
Let p(x)= x4+x3+x2+x+1
The zero of x+1 is -1. . [x+1= 0 means x = -1]
p(−1) = (−1)4+(−1)3+(−1)2+(−1)+1
= 1−1+1−1+1
= 1 ≠ 0
∴By factor theorem, x+1 is not a factor of x4 + x3 + x2 + x + 1

संबंधों का संक्रमण के दौर से गुज़रना' − इस पंक्ति का आशय है संबंधों में परिवर्तन आना। जो संबंध आत्मीयतापूर्ण थे अब घृणा और तिरस्कार में बदलने लगे। जब लेखक के घर अतिथि आया था तो उसके संबंध सौहार्द पूर्ण थे। उसने उसका स्वागत प्रसन्नता पूर्वक किया था। लेखक ने अपनी ढ़ीली-ढ़ाली आर्थिक स्थिति के बाद भी उसे शानदार डिनर खिलाया और सिनेमा दिखाया। लेकिन अतिथि चार पाँच दिन रुक गया तो स्थिति में बदलाव आने लगा और संबंध बदलने लगे।

Jhalkaribai (22 November 1830 – 1858)[2] was a woman soldier who played an important role in the Indian Rebellion of 1857. She served in the women's army of Rani Lakshmibai of Jhansi. She eventually rose to a position of a prominent advisor to the queen, Rani of Jhansi herself.[3] At the height of the Siege of Jhansi, she disguised herself as the Queen and fought on her behalf, on the front, allowing the Queen to escape safely out of the fort.[3][4]
The legend of Jhalkaribai remains in the popular memory of the people of Bundelkhand over centuries. Her life, especially her heroism fighting the East India Company army to protect the Queen, continues to be praised in various Bundeli folklores.
