Let 6x2 - 7x- 3 be p(x) =0
so,6x2 - 7x-3 =0
6x2 - (9-2) x -3
6x2 - 9x + 2x -3
(6x2 - 9x)(2x-3)
3x(2x-3) +1 (2x-3)
(3x +1) (2x -3) = 0
⇒ 3x +1 = 0
⇒ 2x -3 = 0
⇒ x =3/2
⇒ x = - 1/3
sum of zeroes = -1/3 + 3/2 =7/6 = -b/a
product of zeroes =- 1/3 * 3/2 = - 3/6 or -1/2 = c/a

Answer: Mr. Gessler was successful as a bootmaker because his customers were immensely satisfied with the boot he made.
This perfectly fit them and lasted long. Yes, he was a failure as a competitive businessman.
He didn’t have money like the big firms so he couldn’t invest in advertisements. He lost his business to them. He took time in delivering the boots because he made them alone. He lost his customers because of the delay in delivery.
He worked hard, striving for long hours. Whatever, he earned went on paying the rent for his shop and for buying leathers. He spent days of great penury.

Since we have given that
Population of a town = 450720
According to question, there is one out of every 12 persons is illiterate.
So, we would use "Unitary method".
For every 14 persons, number of illiterate people = 12
For every 1 person, number of illiterate people is given by 1 /12
For every 450720 persons, number of illiterate people is given by
1 / 12 x 450720 = 37560
Hence, there are 37560 illiterate persons in the town.
