Maya thinks that Mr Nath is a crook because he doesn’t talk to anyone and has no friends. She believes that his scars are result of shoot-out with police.
He doesn’t work anywhere and sits at home all the day and there are no visitors at his place except the Sunday morning guest.

Seed dispersal is aided by the wind, water and animals. Sees also dispersed when fruits burst with sudden jerks.
By wind: Seeds and fruits of plants are carried away by the wind, water and animals. Winged seeds such as those of drumstick and maple, light seeds of grasses or hairy seeds of aak (Madar) and hairy fruit of the sunflower, get blown off with the wind to faraway places.
By water: Seeds of aquatic plants or plants near water bodies usually develop floating ability in the form of a spongy or fibrous outer coat as in coconut and get dispersed by water.
By animals: Spiny seeds with hooks which get attached to the bodies of animals and are carried to distant places.
Dispersion of seeds by bursting of fruits: Some seeds are dispersed when the fruits burst with sudden jerks. The seeds are scattered far from the parent plant. This happens in the case of castor and balsam.

Solution:
Different methods of asexual production are:
Vegetative propagation: It is a type of asexual reproduction in which new plants are produced from
roots, stems, leaves and buds. Since reproduction is through the vegetative parts of the plant.
Budding: In this process, a new individual from a bulb-like projection, bud, grows and gets detached from the parent to form a new individual and it is mostly observed in yeast.
Spore formation: Spores are asexual reproductive bodies. A spore is covered by a hard protective coat to withstand unfavourable conditions such as high temperature & ow humidity. So they can survive for a long time. Under favourable conditions, a spore germinates and develops into a new
individual. Fungi on bread and plants such as moss and ferns reproduce through spores.
Fragmentation: In this process, a new organism is developed from the fragments of the parent body. Example, An alga breaks up into two or more fragments. These fragments or pieces grow into new individuals

Elements of growing consensus
(i) Agreement on new economic policies : Most parties were in support of the new economic policies and believed that these policies would lead the country to prosperity and a status of economic power in the world.
(ii) Acceptance of the political and social claims of the backward castes : Political parties had recognized that the social and political claims of the Backward Castes need to be accepted and support reservation of seats for OBC in education and employment.
(iii) Acceptance of the role of State level parties in governance of the country: State level parties were sharing power at the national level and had played a central role in the country's politics.
(iv) Emphasis on pragmatic considerations rather than ideological positions and political alliances without ideological agreement as most parties of the NDA did not agree with the 'Hindutava' ideology of the BJP. Yet, they came together to form a government and remained in power for a full term.

The black stone stele containing the Code of Hammurabi was carved from a single, four-ton slab of diorite, a durable but incredibly difficult stone for carving.
At its top is a two-and-a-half-foot relief carving of a standing Hammurabi receiving the law—symbolized by a measuring rod and tape—from the seated Shamash, the Babylonian god of justice. The rest of the seven-foot-five-inch monument is covered with columns of chiseled cuneiform script.
The text, compiled at the end of Hammurabi’s reign, is less a proclamation of principles than a collection of legal precedents, set between prose celebrating Hammurabi’s just and pious rule. Hammurabi’s Code provides some of the earliest examples of the doctrine of “lex talionis,” or the laws of retribution, sometimes better known as “an eye for an eye.”

Democracy is a form of government in which the rulers are elected by the people.
- Myanmar where the army rules, Dictator Pinochet’s rule in Chile, or President N.krumah’s rule in Ghana was not democratic. They were not chosen by the people.
- Hereditary kings, like the king of Nepal or Saudi Arabia, are also not democratic rulers. They rule because they were born into noble families.
