Phases of Cell cycle
Human cell divides once in approximately 24 hours, which may vary in different organisms. In yeasts it takes about 90 minutes to complete the cell division process.
Cell cycle is divided into two basic phases-

- Interphase– it is the phase between two successive M phases. Interphase lasts for 95% of a cell cycle. This phase is called as resting phase but during this period the cells prepare itself for nuclear division by cell growth.
- M Phase– when the actual cell division or mitosis occurs. It starts with karyokinesis (nuclear division) or duplication of chromosome and end with cytokinesis or division of cell matrix (cytoplasm division). The interphase is divided into three further phases:
- G1 phase represents the interval between mitosis and initiation of DNA replication. Cell is continuously active and grows in size.

Right before prophase, the cell spends most of its life in the interphase, where preparations are made before the beginning of mitosis (the DNA is copied). However, since the actual process involves the division of the nucleus, prophase is technically the first stage of this process.
The different stages of mitosis occurring during cell division are given as follows-
Interphase
Before entering mitosis, a cell spends a period of its growth under interphase. It undergoes the following phases when in interphase:
- G1 Phase: This is the period before the synthesis of DNA.
- S Phase: This is the phase during which DNA synthesis takes place.
- G2 Phase: This is the phase between the end of DNA synthesis and the beginning of prophase.

Expenditure will generate future economic benefits for the company, but the expenses will generate the benefit for the current period only. The major difference between Expense vs Expenditure is that the expenditure is a single time investment of money. ... Conversely, Expenses are of the shorter term. In terms of its accounting treatment, an expense is recorded immediately and impacts directly the income statement of the company, reducing its net profit. In contrast, a capital expenditure is capitalized, recorded as an asset and depreciated over time.

- The female reproductive part in a plant is called the pistil.
- It consists of three parts- stigma, style and ovary.
- The sticky part at the top called a stigma.
- A thin tube passing down is called a style.
- A swollen sac-like structure at the bottom is called an ovary.
- The pollen grains are transferred onto the stigma which then travels down the style into the ovary, where it meets with the ovules and fertilization takes place.

On 4th January, the mental condition of the voyagers was vacillating between hope and despair. After 36 hours of continuous pumping, water had receded but they still had to keep pace with the water still coming in. The captain's wife provided them with the first meal in two days of some corned beef and cracker biscuits. However, this respite was only short-lived. The storm started building up and the situation again became worse. On 5th January, the situation was desperate. When the captain went to his children to comfort them, the small boy asked him innocently if they all were going to die but added that he did not mind dying as long as all were the family members were together. This strengthened the captain's determination to fight all odds and survive.

Trick to Remember Table of 12
To make it easy for students to learn the 12 times table, we have given here a simple trick.
First write the numbers from 1 to 12 excluding 5 and 11 in a serial order.
| 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | 10 | 12 |
Now write the even numbers 2,4,6,8,0 next to the above series, repeatedly, such that:
| 12 | 24 | 36 | 48 | 60 | 72 | 84 | 96 | 108 | 120 |

Cloth bought for trouser = 2 m 5 cm = 2.05 m
Total length of cloth bought by Nasreen = 3.20 + 2.05 = 5.25 m
Therefore, total length of cloth bought by Nasreen is 5.25 m

Golgi
Lysosomes are small vesicles containing hydrolytic enzymes and surrounded by a single membrane of up to 100nm thickness. They are formed by Golgi apparatus and contain some 60 different types of acid hydrolases for digestion of various materials. The cisternae of the Golgi body is bud off in the form small vesicles and fused with the acidic body to acid to form the primary lysosome.

- The sac-like structures in a cell surrounded by membrane are called lysosomes.
- They keep the cells clean by digesting and breaking the outside materials like bacteria, food entering the cell or worn-out cell organelles into small pieces.
- They can digest these organic materials due to the presence of strong digestive enzymes that can brreak down organic compounds. Therefore, lysosome is also known as a suicide sac.
- Many scientists believe that lysosomes are not present in plant cells and their function of lysosomes in plants is performed by vacuole.
