Ladakh is a cold desert in India. It lies in the Great Himalayas, on the eastern side of Jammu and Kashmir. It has the mighty Karakoram Range in the North and the south, it is bound by the Zanskar mountains. It gets very little rainfall around 10 cm because it lies in the rain shadow region of the Himalayan mountains.

Consider a conductor XY carrying current I. There we choose an infinitesimal element dl of the conductor. The magnetic field dB due to this element is to be determined at a point P which is at a distance ‘r’ from it. Let θ be the angle between dl and the position vector ‘r’. According to Biot-Savart’s law, the magnitude of the magnetic field dB at a point p is proportional to the current I, the element length |dl|, and inversely proportional to the square of the distance r and dB is directed perpendicular to the plane containing dl and r.
here μ0 = 4π x 10-7 Hm-1 is a constant called permeability of vacuum.

Hydrogen gas is not evolved when a metal reacts with nitric acid. It is because HNO3 is a strong oxidising agent. It oxidises the H2 produced to water and itself gets reduced to any of the nitrogen oxides (N2O, NO, NO2). But magnesium (Mg) and manganese (Mn) react with very dilute HNO3 to evolve H2 gas.

हरित क्रांति: भारत की नई कृषि नीति सन् 1967-68 में लागू की गई, जिसमें अधिक उपज देने वाले बीजों को बोया गया तथा कृषि की नई तकनीकों का प्रयोग किया गया, जिससे फसल उत्पादन में तीव्र वृद्धि हुई, इसे ही हरित क्रांति कहा जाता है।
इसकी विशेषताएँ निम्न हैं-
1. कृषकों को नवीन, परिष्कृत एवं विकसित बीज उपलब्ध कराकर उन्हें इनका अधिकाधिक प्रयोग करने के लिए प्रयास किया।
2. रासायनिक उर्वरकों का प्रयोग किसानों को करने के लिए दिया गया, जिससे फसल उत्पादन में तीव्रता से वृद्धि हुई।
3. सिंचाई की सुविधाएँ सुलभ कराई गई।
4. फसलों एवं फसलों से संबंधित अन्य जानकारियाँ कृषकों को देने का प्रयास किया गया।
5. उन्हें आधुनिक ढंग से खाद बनाने और उनका अधिकाधिक प्रयोग करने के लिए कहा गया।

Derry was a young boy who lived a miserable life since a bottle of acid fell on his face. This caused his face to deform. He avoided the company of others and remained lonely so that he would not be noticed by others. People treated him differently after his accident the either made fun of him or were scared. The whole situation made him a boy with bitter feelings for everyone. He believed that nobody loved him and his mother loved him because she was supposed to do. He believed he was unwanted and lost. He didn’t want sympathy that people gave him he just wanted to be treated as an ordinary kid.
