1.A cut out of a geometrical figure such as a triangle is made and placed on a rectangular sheet of paper marked with X and Y-axis.

2.The co-ordinates of the vertices of the triangle and its centroid are noted.

3.The triangular cut out is displaced(along x-axis, along y-axis or along any other direction.)

4.The new co-ordinates of the vertices and the centroid are noted again.

5.The procedure is repeated, this time by rotating the triangle as well as displacing it. The new co-ordinate of vertices and centroid are noted again. Displacement and rotation of a geometrical figure.

6.Using the distance formula, distance between the vertices of the triangle are obtained for the triangle in original position and in various displaced and noted positions.

7.Using the new coordinates of the vertices and the centroids, students will obtain the ratio in which the centroid divides the medians for various displaced and rotated positions of the triangles.

King Tut's mummy was one of the first mummy's to be scanned. The CT scan came up with some new clues about the life and death of King Tut. It provided precise data for an accurate forensic reconstruction of King Tut. The CT scan displayed the mummy from head to toe creating 1,700 digital X-ray images in cross-section. It showed a grey head, neck vertebrae, a hand, several images of rib cages, and a section of the skull. The CT scan revealed an astonishing image of King Tut and his entire body very clearly.

The results of a CT scan done on King Tut's mummy indicate the boy king was not murdered, but may have suffered a badly broken leg shortly before his death at age 19 — a wound that could have become infected

Teachers play a very important role in shaping the future of their students. Right from kindergarten to university, they are the ones who impart knowledge and teach us about everything important. Moreover, they also teach us about ethical values and imbibe in our moral values. Thus, we can say that teachers shape our personality into something very strong and wonderful. A world without teachers would be definitely chaotic. There are only a few people in our lives who impact our world, and teachers are definitely one of them. They assume the role of an educator and caregiver for their students. Sometimes, they also become our friends and help us with personal problems. A teacher is the one who will help you become a better person and an informed one. Moreover, they see the potential of their students when no one else can. Teachers also decide the fate of a nation as the youth is in their hands. When the youth is educated and informed, naturally, the future of the country will be in safe hands. In fact, the fate of students is in the hands of their teachers. They push the students to achieve greater heights and become successful. Consequently, they turn out to be doctors, lawyers, pilots, scientists and more, only with the help of a teacher. In India, we even celebrate Teacher’s Day to honor them on 5th September, every year. While some people think it’s easy, the role of a teacher is very challenging and equally important. It is their responsibility to impart the correct knowledge and in the right manner. They have to teach methodically for which they prepare their lessons beforehand. Thus, they are able to motivate their students through the use of accurate techniques. A good teacher gives homework to their students also checks it regularly for a better practice. Further, they plan meticulously for a better teaching pattern. At the beginning of the year, they plan the whole syllabus out for a smooth teaching experience. In addition to teaching, a teacher is also a good organizer. They have to organize various activities that take place in school throughout the year. Further, they have to take care of other little yet important things, like the seating arrangement, classroom activities and more. Moreover, they also supervise a lot of tasks and activities in school. For instance, attendance, homework, behaviour is also supervised by teachers. They are responsible for maintaining the discipline and decorum of the students. Most importantly, they guide the students every step of the way. They have to make sure they do not favour a specific student and give equal attention to all. In fact, teachers have to decide how they divide the attention towards students who need it more than others. Thus, it is fair to say that our teachers are the ones who make this world a better place. They make this world a better place by enhancing student’s lives. Moreover, teachers are the ones who play the role of so many people in a child’s life. They are a mentor, a parent, a friend, and more which makes all the difference in one’s life.

It is the functional unit of kidney

Anshika Yadav 4 years, 2 months ago (11946199)

*A kidney is composed of an enormous number of uriniferous tubules. They are also known as nephrons or renal tubules or kidney tubules.Nephrons are the structural and functional units of the kidney. Each kidney is formed of about 1 million nephrons.Nephrons are held together by a connective tissue*. Structure of nephron: Each nephron is made of a glomerulus and a renal tubule. Glomerulus: It is a tuft of anastomosing blood capillaries formed by the fine branches of the  afferent arteriole. These capillaries of the glomerulus again unite to form the efferent arteriole. The afferent arteriole is wider than the efferent arteriole. The afferent arteriole brings blood into the glomerulus, while the efferent arteriole collects blood from the glomerulus. Renal Tubule: The renal tubule comprises the following regions: Bowman’s Capsule The Bowman’s capsule lies in the cortex. It is a thin double-walled, cup-like depression. It is the blind end of the nephron. The glomerulus is located in the concave depression of the Bowman’s capsule. The Bowman’s capsule and the glomerulus together are called Malpighian Capsule or Renal Capsule. The outer layer of the Bowman’s capsule is made of flattened epithelial cells. The inner layer is in close contact with the glomerulus and bears special cells called podocytes.Podocytes have many feet-like processes called pedicels and minute slit-like pores called slit pores.    Proximal Convoluted Tubule (PCT) PCT lies in the cortex. It is also known as the first convoluted tubule. The Bowman’s capsule continues into the PCT.It is lined with a layer of columnar epithelial cells. The columnar cells are with numerous microvilli to increase the surface area of absorption.    Loop of Henle It lies in the medulla. It is U-shaped.It is not convoluted. It has a descending limb and an ascending limb. Each limb has a thick region towards the cortex and a thin region towards the medulla.Thick regions are lined with columnar epithelial cells.Thin regions are lined with flat epithelial cells.           Distal Convoluted Tubule (DCT) It lies in the cortex. Its short terminal part is called a collecting tubule. The collecting tubule opens into the collecting duct.DCT in lined with ciliated columnar epithelial cells. The collecting duct receives the contents of many renal tubules. The collecting duct is a larger duct which receives collecting tubules of several nephrons.Collecting ducts pass into the renal medulla and join with each other to form the ducts of Bellini. The ducts of Bellini run through the renal pyramids and open into calyces. All calyces open into the pelvis. From the pelvis, urine is carried to the urinary bladder through the ureters.
