As per CCE guidelines, the syllabus of Mathematics for classes IX and X has been divided term wise. The units specified for each term shall be assessed through both formative and summative assessment.
CCE Syllabus for class 9 English Language and Literature (Course B) for session 2010-2011 prescribed for First Term (April 2010 to September 2010) and Second Term (October 2010 to March 2011) issued by CBSE, New Delhi. The complete syllabus is divided into four sections i.e. Reading, Writing, Grammar and Literature. Reading, writing and grammar section has equal weightage of 15 marks whereas literature section carries 35 marks.
CCE Syllabus for class 9 English Communicative for session 2010-2011 prescribed for First Term (April 2010 to September 2010) and Second Term (October 2010 to March 2011) issued by CBSE, New Delhi. The complete syllabus is divided into four sections i.e. Reading, Writing, Grammar and Literature. Each section has equal weightage of 20 marks. CBSE has issued new revised text books for English Communicative this year. Students are advised to follow them.
CCE Syllabus for class 9 Hindi Course B for session 2010-2011 prescribed for First Term (April 2010 to September 2010) and Second Term (October 2010 to March 2011) issued by CBSE, New Delhi. There will be total 18 questions in the question paper. Question No. 1-4 will be based on unseen passages. Question No. 5-9 will be based on Hindi Grammar. Question No. 10-16 will be from Text Books and Last 2 questions (17-18) will be from writing section.

First Term (April 2010 to September 2010) =>
There will be TWO FORMATIVE and ONE SUMMATIVE test in first term.
CBSE Board exams are going to start from 3rd March 2010. Total 1601646 students are registered this year in class 10 and class 12 for March 2010 CBSE Board exams. This number has increased by approx 9% this year in comparison to last year.
This year the total number of special category students is 1891 in class X and 1309 in class 12. It is a bit lesser than that of previous year.

CBSE has announced the dates and rules for Board Exams 2010. Following details are useful:
1. Preparations for smooth conduct of Board Exams 2010
(i) The sealed question paper packets will be opened in the presence of at least four Asstt. Superintendents-one of them would be from the school other than the examination centre as a witness.
(ii) The center material has been dispatched to all the CBSE Board Exams 2010 centers.
First phase of CBSE counseling has been started in the beginning of February 2010. CBSE started this pioneering community work 13 years back in 1998 for the first time.
The highlights of CBSE Tele-counselling are:
(i) It is offered by trained counselors and Principals from within CBSE affiliated schools located in and outside India.
Sample Question Papers in all subjects have been revised, published and uploaded on the Board’s website for March 2010 examination.
A special feature is the publication of sample question papers in the subjects of Computer Science, Multi Media and Web Technology, Informatics Practices, Agriculture, Home Science, Engineering Graphics, in class XII and foundation of Information Technology in class X for the first time.

The first examination under CCE scheme will be conducted for class 9 second term in March 2010. It covers 40% weightage as part of summative assessment in second term. Total weightage of 2nd term assessment is 60% of total syllabus. Two formative assessments of 10% each have been conducted in the school in form of projects and assignments.
The Board has extended the concept of Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) in class IX with effect from October 2009 to be continued in class X for the year 2010-11 onwards.
For this purpose syllabus has been split up over two terms. Each term will have two formative tests of 10% weightage each and one summative test of weightage 20% and 40 % respectively.
The New Scheme of Grading has been introduced with the aim that :
It will minimize misclassification of students on the basis of marks.
It will eliminate unhealthy competition among high achievers.
It will reduce societal pressure and will provide the learner with more flexibility.
It will lead to a focus on a better learning environment
CBSE has introduced two new courses in class 12 this year. Class XII Student will appear for the first time in Graphics Design Course (Code NO – 71) and Heritage Crafts (Code no 70). Sample Question papers in both the subjects have been posted on the Board’s website www.cbse.nic.in.
The scheme of making CBSE Board exam optional in class 10 is not applicable in March 2010 examinations. All students of Class X in the current academic year (2009-2010) will be taking the CBSE Board’s Class X 2010 Examination.

CBSE has revised the English Text Book for class IX from session 2010-2011. The old English Text book is now outdated. CBSE is going to publish New Text Book for class IX English Course A. The New Text Book English Communicative for class IX is to be studied from April 2010.
Heads of all the schools affiliated with the CBSE under Delhi Region may collect the Admit Cards for class X & XII examination 2010 from the Regional Office, Delhi during working hours.
Intimation letters to all the private candidates appearing for class X & XII examination 2010 have been sent. Private candidates may collect admit card from the examination centre mentioned in their intimation letter.
