CBSE Scholarship for College and University Students-2008 (Left over Scholarships)

The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education, Govt of India has introduced a CBSE Scholarship scheme titled “Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students” from the year 2008 with the objective to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from low income families to meet day to day expenses while pursuing higher studies.

The detailed guidelines of the said scheme, eligibility criteria and application form are available on the Board’s website www.cbse.nic.in.
In this regard, the CBSE had last invited the applications in the month of December, 2008.

As some CBSE Scholarships are still available to be awarded for the year 2008, the Board invites applications from the students who have secured 80% marks and above in the AISSC Examination conducted by the Board during March/April 2008 and have taken admission in undergraduate course in 2008-09, subject to fulfillment of the eligibility conditions. The complete application form should reach the CBSE office latest by 10th May, 2009. It may please be noted that the students who have completed their Senior Secondary examination from other State Boards need not to apply to CBSE. The students who have applied earlier for the said Scholarship need not apply again.
