English communicative was one of them. Now CBSE will conduct examination on the basis of books published by NCERT, New Delhi. For class 9th English, NCERT books are BEEHIVE and MOMENTS. These two books will be followed by all the CBSE affiliated schools from session 2018-19. The same will continue to class 10 next year. However, students passed class 9th this year (2018-19) will continue to study English Communicative in class 10. This will be the last batch to study English Communicative in class 10 in the session 2018-19.

---|---|
Curriculum designed by CBSE | Curriculum designed by NCERT |
Mostly followed by KVs and Private Schools | Mostly followed by government schools |
Considered difficult syllabus as compared to English language and literature but actually both have same syllabus in terms of Reading, Writing and Grammar. | Considered easy syllabus as compared to English Communicative but in reality, it has more chapters as compare to English Communicative and all other sections are common. |
Two novels to study in addition to literature book and main course book. | Same novels here but CBSE as discontinued them this year (2018-19) onwards. So, it is now a bit easy. |
