Khilafat Movement was started by Muhammad Ali and Shaukat Ali at Bombay in 1919. The First World War had ended with the defeat of Ottoman Turkey and there were rumours that Britain was going to impose a harsh treaty on the khalifa, the spiritual head of the islamic world. So to protect khalifa's temporal powers and to get the Purna Swaraj as demanded by Gandhiji and Congress, this movement was launched .

1. The responsibility of unifying Italy through war fell on the ruler king Victor Emmanuel II of Sardinia Piedmont,after the failure of revolutionary uprising in 1831 and 1848. 2. The ruling elite thought that they would get political dominance and economic development after unification of Italy. 3. The Austrian forces were defeated in 1859 by Sardinia Piedmont, after a diplomatic alliance was made with the French , by chief minister Cavour. 4.In order to drive out the Spanish rulers from southern regions of Italy, in 1860, a large number of armed volunteers under Garibaldi marched into the kingdom of two Sicilies and southern Italy. They won the support of peasants. 5. Hence in 1861, Italy had a new king , Victor Emmanuel II

1.Acids are sour in taste. Base are bitter in taste. 2.Acid turns blue litmus to red. Base turns red litmus to blue. 3.Acid produce H+ions when dissolve in water. Base produce OH-ions when dissolve in water. 4. Acid ph value ranges from 1 to 7. Base pH value ranges from 7 to 14. 5. Examples of Acids -> HCl, H2SO4, Acetic acid, lactic acid,etc. Examples of base -> NaOH, KOH,etc.
