- A rainbow is an arch of seven colours and is produced by the dispersion of the Sun’s light by tiny raindrops present in the atmosphere.
- The observer receives only one colour from the raindrop at a time.
- The red rays from the drops make a certain angle with the eye line joining the Sun and the observer.
- So, all water drops which appear red will make the same angle with the line of vision.
- Hence, they will appear in the form of an arc of a circle with its centre on the eye line.
- The other colours also appear in a similar manner.
- Red rays make an angle of 42.8° with the line of vision and is seen on the outer edge of the rainbow.
- Violet rays make an angle of 40.8° with the line of vision and is seen on the inner edge of the rainbow.
- Thus, the rainbow appears in the form of a bow or a semi circle

(i) In 19th century British manufactures flooded Indian markets.
(ii) The value of British exports to India was much higher than the value of British imports from India.
(iii) Britain thus had a tradeturplus with India. Britain used this surplus to balance its trade deficits with other countries, that is with countries from which Britain was importing more than it was selling to.

Given, sin43°cos47° + cos43°sin47°
⇒ sin43°cos(90 - 43)° + cos43°sin(90 - 43)°
⇒ sin43°sin43° + cos43°cos43°
⇒ sin243° + cos243° [Since, sin2θ + cos2θ = 1]
= 1

There should be an equitable distribution of natural resources among people so that every individual be it poor or rich gets an equal amount of resources to use.
Powerful and rich people grab a major part of resources by using money and power. Human greed, corruption are also some of the forces that are preventing an equitable distribution of resources.

Given A.P:
8,14,20,26, ...
First term (a) = 8
common difference (d) =a_{2}-a_{1}
= 14-8
= 6
d = 6
Let n th term of A.P will be 72 more than its 41 th term.
We know that,
{tex}\boxed {n^{th} term = a_{n}=a+(n-1)d}{/tex}
According to the problem given,
{tex}a_{n}-a_{41}=72{/tex}
{tex}\implies a+(n-1)d-[a+(41-1)d]=72{/tex}
{tex}\implies a+nd-d-(a+40d)=72{/tex}
{tex}\implies a+nd-d-a-40d=72{/tex}
{tex}\implies nd-41d = 72{/tex}
{tex}\implies d(n-41)=72{/tex}
{tex}\implies n-41 = \frac{72}{6}{/tex}
{tex}\implies n = 41 +12{/tex}
{tex}\implies n = 53{/tex}
Therefore,
n = 53
53rd term in given A.P will be 72 more than its 41th term.
