Atomic radii are often measured in angstroms (Å), a non-SI unit: 1 Å = 1 × 10 −10 m = 100 pm. ... (a) The covalentatomic radius, r cov, is half the distance between the nuclei of two like atomsjoined by a covalent bond in the same molecule, such as Cl 2.

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 11 months ago

Atomic radius is the distance from the centre of the nucleus to the outermost shell containing electrons. In other words, it is the distance from the center of the nucleus to the point up to which the density of the electron cloud is maximum.

Light from the Sun near the horizon passes through a thicker layer of air and a larger distance in the Earth’s atmosphere before reaching our eyes.
However, light from the Sun overhead has to travel a lesser distance. At noon, the Sun appears whitish or yellowish as only little blue and violet light are scattered. However, near the horizon, most of the blue light and shorter wavelengths are scattered. Thus, the Sun appears reddish in colour during sunrise or sunset.

3R refers to reduce reuse and recycle

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 11 months ago

The three R's used to save the environment are Reduce, Recycle and Reuse.

Reduce: This means that we should use the resources judiciously and check their misuse. We use less of the natural resources by cutting down on those practices which lead to their wastage. We should save electricity by switching off unnecessary lights and fans. We should save water by repairing leak taps. We can reduce the use of LPG by making use of solar cooker for cooking food.

Recycle: Recycle means that we should collect the used and discarded plastic, paper, glass and metal items and recycle this material to make required things instead of synthesizing fresh plastic, paper, glass or metal.

Reuse: This is even better than recycling because it save the energy which is spent at recycling a products no energy is required during reuse.We should use the same things again. For example envelopes can be used by reversing them

The development of nationalism in Europe was not only the result of war and territorial expansion.
Culture played an important role in creating the idea of the nation in Europe. The following examples state the fact
(i) Art, poetry, stories and music helped express and shape nationalist feelings in-Europe.
(ii) Romanticism, a cultural movement in Europe developed a particular form of nationalist sentiment. Romantic artists and poets criticised the glorification of science and reason. They tried to create a sense of a shared collective heritage as the basis of a nation. They gave importance on emotions, intuitions and mystical feelings.
(iii) German philosopher Johann Gottfried Herder claimed that true German culture was to be discovered among the common people (das volk) in their folk song, folk poetry and folk dances.
(iv) Vernacular languages and folklores strengthen the national spirit.
(v) In Poland Karol Kurpinski cekbrated the national struggle through opera and music.
(vi) Allegory of Germania and Marianne developed national feelings among citizens.

36=2×2×3×3 96=2×2×2×2×2×3 120=2×2×2×3×5 Therefore HCF(36,96,120)=2×2×3=12

Dinesh Kumar Dwivedi 5 years, 11 months ago

By Euclid's division lemma on 36 and 96 a=bq+r , where r is equal to or greater than 0 and smaller than b Since 96 is greater than 36 Therefore a= 96 and b= 36 Now, 96=36×2+24 36=24×1+12 24=12×2+0 Since 12 is the last divisore therefore 12 is HCF of 36 and 96 Now, we will take HCF of 12 and 120 By Euclid's division lemma a=bq+r, where r is equal to or greater than 0 and smaller than b Since 120 is greater than 12 Therefore a= 120 and b= 12 Now, 120=12×10+0 Since 12 is the last divisore therefore 12 is HCF of 12 and 120. Therefore HCF of 120,96 and 36 is 12

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 11 months ago

On applying euclid's division Lemma for 36 and 96

96 = 36 ×2 + 24

Here, Remainder = 24≠0

So take new Dividend as 36 and divisor as 24.

36 = 24×1 +12

Here, Remainder = 12≠0

So take new Dividend as 24 and divisor as 12.

24 = 12×2 +0

Here, the Remainder = 0 and the last divisor is 12.

So, HCF of 36 and 96 is 12.

On applying euclid's division Lemma for 12 and 120

120 = 12 ×10 + 0

Here Remainder = 0

So , HCF of  36, 96 and 120 is 12.

Given A.P:

-11,-8,-5,.….,49

first term (a) = -11,

{tex}Common\: difference (d)\\=a_{2}-a_{1}\\=-8-(-11)\\=-8+11\\=3{/tex}

Now,

Rearranging the terms , from last to first ,we get

49,46,...,-5,-8,-11

first term (a) = 49,

d = 46-49 = -3

{tex}Fourth\:term (a_{4})=a+3d{/tex}

{tex}=49+3\times (-3)\\=49-9\\=40{/tex}

Therefore,

{tex}Fourth\:term\:the \:last \:of\\the \:A.P = 40{/tex}

Bubbles are formed due to presence of hydrogen gas......this gas can be indicated by producing pop sound on burning and blue flame ☺️☺️
