When power is taken away from the Central and State governments, and given to the Local governments, it is called decentralisation.

(i) The basic idea behind decentralisation is that there are a large number of problems and issues which are best settled at the local level. People have a better knowledge of problems in their localities. They also have better ideas on where to spend money, and how to manage things more efficiently.
(ii) At the local level, it is possible for the people to directly participate in decision, making. This helps to inculcate a habit of democratic participation. Basically the local government is the best way to realise one important principle of democracy, namely the Local Self-Government.

4x²-4ax+(a²-b²) 4x²-4ax+(a+b)(a-b)=0 m²-n² =(m+n)(m-n) Splitting the middle term, we get => 4x² -2(a+b)x-2(a-b)x +(a+b)(a-b)=0 => 2x[2x-(a+b)]-(a-b)[2x-(a+b)]=0 => [2x-(a+b)][2x-(a-b)]=0 => 2x-(a+b)=0 Or 2x-(a-b)=0 => 2x = a+b Or 2x = a-b Then x=a+b/2,x=a-b/2

Lucifer?? Morningstar?? 5 years, 5 months ago

4x²-2(a+b)x-2(a-b)x+(a²-b²) => 2x{x-(a+b)}-2(a-b){x-(a+b)} => (2x-2a+2b)(x-a-b) => x=a--b or a+b

The ways by which more employment can be created in a country like India are:

(i) If more dams are built and canal water is provided to all the small farmers, a lot of employment can be generated in agriculture sector.

(ii) Providing cheap credit facilities and crop insurance can result in more employment.

(iii) More money should be spent in transport and storage, because then more people can be employed.

(iv) The government/banks can provide loan at cheap rates to improve irrigational facilities.

(v) Technical training, vocational guidance to unemployed youth for self employment

Primary sources are created as close to the original event or phenomenon as it is possible to be. For example, a photograph or video of an event is a primary source. Data from an experiment is a primary source.  Secondary sources are one step removed from that. Secondary sources are based on or about the primary sources. For example, articles and books in which authors interpret data from another research team's experiment or archival footage of an event are usually considered secondary sources. Tertiary sources are one further step removed from that. Tertiary sources summarize or synthesize the research in secondary sources. For example, textbooks and reference books are tertiary sources.

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 5 months ago

Primary Sector : Activities undertaken by using natural resources, e.g., forestry, agriculture, fishing, etc.

Secondary Sector : Activities includes various manufacturing activities and adds utility to primary sector, e.g., Cotton-cloths, iron ore-Steel, etc.

Tertiary Sector : Includes all such activities which supports primary and secondary sector by providing services, e.g., transportation, etc.

Primary sector:
When we produce goods by exploiting natural resources, it is an activity of the primary sector.

Secondary sector:
Covers activities in which natural products are changed into other forms through ways of manufacturing, it is also called as industrial sector.

Tertiary sector:
These are the activities that help in the development of the primary & secondary sector. These activities by themselves do not produce good but they are an aid and support to the production process. Example: Transportation-Goods that are produced in the primary sector need to be transported by trucks or trains and than sold in the wholesale and retail shops; Storage—at times it is necessary to store these products in godowns, which is also a service made available. Communication -talking to others on telephone); Banking-borrowing money from the banks. Since these activities are generate services rather than goods it is also called Service sector.

Given : x = √6 + √6 + √6 +... ---(i)

Then,
x = √6 + x --- From Eqn. (i)

On squaring both sides,

⇒ x² = 6 + x

⇒ x² - x - 6 = 0

⇒ x² - 3x + 2x - 6 = 0

⇒ x(x-3) + 2(x-3) = 0

⇒ x = 3 Or x = -2

But x is a natural number.
∴ x = 3

Different social groups joined the Civil Disobedience Movement. Three of them are listed below.

➡ Rich peasant communities like Patidars of Gujarat and Jats of Uttar Pradesh - joined the movement because, being producers of commercial crops, they were hard-hit by depression and falling prices. For them, Swaraj meant struggle against high revenues.

➡ Poor peasants joined the struggle because they found it difficult to pay the rent. They wanted the unpaid rent to be remitted.

➡Rich business classes were against colonial policies which restricted trade. They joined the movement because they wanted protection against import of foreign goods. They thought that Swaraj would cancel colonial restrictions and trade would flourish without constraints.

  • A coil with many circular close turns of insulated copper wire (like a cylinder as shown above) is a solenoid.
  • One end of such a solenoid behaves like the north pole and the other as a south pole.
  • Therefore magnetic field due to current in the solenoid is similar to a bar magnet. The fields always emerge out of the North pole and always merge into the South pole
  • The field inside the solenoid is uniform.
  • The strong magnetic field inside the solenoid is so strong that it can be used to magnetize a piece of soft iron when it is placed inside the coil. The magnet formed like this is called a Electromagnet

Assume that the length of all edges of the cube=x units
Formula for volume of cube=x³ cube unit
Due an occurrence that the cylinder is within the cube &it touches all the vertices faces of the cube.
Therefore radius of the base of the cylinder & cone & height of cylinder of a cone=x
Volume of the cylinder=π×{x/2}²×x=22/7×x³/4
11/14x³ cube unit
Volume of cone should be=1/3π{x/2)²×x=11/42 cubic unit
Required ratio=volume of cube:volume of cylinder:volume of cone
=x³:11/14x³:11/42x³=42:33:11

These are imaginary lines along which the iron fillings would arrange themselves in circular orbits due to the force acting on them.

Meghna Thapar 5 years, 5 months ago

The path along which north pole moves in a magnetic field is called magnetic lines of force or magnetic field line. They show the direction and strength of the magnetic field. If magnetic field lines are very close to each other in a particular region, then the strength of the magnetic field in that region is very large. A magnetic field line is an imaginary curve along which a free unit north pole tends to move. Magnetic field lines always start from north pole and end on the south pole. The tangent to the magnetic field lines at any point gives the direction of the magnetic field at that point.
