It happens due to the, phenomenon of refraction of light. When the rays of light from the coin, in the denser medium, fall on the interface separating the two media, the rays of light move away from the normal after refraction. The point from which the refracted rays appear to come gives the apparent position of the coin. As the rays appear to come from a point above the coin, therefore, the coin seems to be raised.

1. assonance - the prominence of a vowel sound throughout a line is called assonance. In stanza 1, line 2 - “Shook down on me” - ‘o’ sound is prominent.
2. The short poem by Robert Frost throws light upon the unimaginable healing power of nature and tiny things. From a bad mood to ill-health, there is nothing that can’t be cured by nature. The author was experiencing one such bad day when a crow’s movement near a hemlock tree dusted snow upon him. The snow instantly makes him happier. His day gets a lot better. Thus, the supremacy of nature as a whole made him realise how petty his problem was. The fact that hemlock tree is poisonous combined with crow being the indicator of doom and fear are used in the poem as the carriers of happiness in the life of narrator is ironical. The poet, through these objects has tried to highlight that sometimes creatures linked with negative aspects of life can be the bringer of change and happiness. Being outdoors in nature, with all it’s unpredictability can benefit anyone, anywhere at any time.
3. The two agents of nature, the hemlock tree and the crow are signifiers of sadness and gloom just like the poet’s mood was in the opening scene.

Mandela realized in his youth that it was not just his freedom that was being curtailed, but the freedom of all blacks. The hunger for his own freedom gradually turned into hunger for the freedom of his people. This desire of a non-racial society transformed him into a virtuous and self-sacrificing man. Thus, he joined the African National Congress and this changed the fearful man to a fearless rebel. He sacrificed the comforts of a settled family life to fight for a greater cause.

The renal artery brings blood to the kidney for filtration whereas the renal vein carries away filtered blood from the kidney.
The renal artery takes blood to the kidney. The renal vein takes blood away from the kidney. In the kidney, the waste product urea is filtered out of the blood.. So the main difference is in the amount of urea in the blood: high in the renal artery and low in the renal vein.

Velocity has both magnitude and direction while speed only has magnitude.
Hence average velocity can be zero if a body travels to point 'A' and back to the origin, displacement is 0 so average velocity is also 0.
However, if the body travels the same distance to and fro the distance has some value "k". So no matter the time taken, the average speed will have some value but will never be 0.

Average velocity = Net displacement / time taken
Average speed = total distance / time taken
Net displacement can be zero but total distance can not be zero .
So, average velocity can be zero but average speed can not be zero .

For middle classes in cities, the call of Swaraj led to boycott of government institution. In town the movement was relatively peaceful. everyone students, headmasters and lawyers left their jobs. The council elections were boycotted in most provinces. foreign products and clothes were boycotted and burnt, so the movement slowed down gradually due to lack of alternatives.
For the peasants and tribals, Swaraj meant not only freedom from British rule, but also at the hands of landlords. So they organized themselves and demanded reduction of revenue and abolition of beggar. in the countryside there were the houses being attacked. So the tribals started guerilla resistance movements they had been deprived of access to forest and its resources.

Reverse Osmosis:
Reverse osmosis is the process in which pressure is applied to overcome colligative property and osmotic pressure that is directed by thermodynamic parameter and a chemical difference of a solvent. This application is mainly applied in the production of potable water in water plants and in industries. The end result will be the solute. It happens when the pure solvent is allowed to follow to one end of the membrane thus allowing a solute to retain in a permissible side of a membrane. Reverse osmosis removes suspended and types of dissolved species from water including bacteria.

Magnetic flux lines are important because of the following reasons:
- Magnetic field lines are the lines in a magnetic field the tangent of which at any point will give the field direction at that point and its density gives the magnitude of the field.
- They denote the direction of the magnetic field
- The magnetic field intensity depends on the number of magnetic field lines. The lines are higher at the poles, that is why the magnetic field at the poles are stronger.
- The strength of a magnetic field is dependent on the number of magnetic field lines at a particular area of consideration.

Hence, any positive odd integer is of the form 6q + 1, 6q + 3 or 6q + 5

I was down on the time of practicing for my 9th final exams. My father consulted me, "Son, don't feel tensed about it, you have to always stay fresh before you work..." After that I headed outdoors and I felt so refreshed that I could work hard for the next twenty four hours!
