  • PARALLEL to the revolts of the poor, unemployed and starving peasants and workers in many European countries in the year 1848, a revolution led by the educated middle class was underway.
  • In other parts of Europe, where independent nation-states did not yet exist, men and women of the liberal middle classes combined their demands for constitutionalism with national unification.
  • They took advantage of growing popular unrest to push their demands for the creation of a nation-state on parliamentary principles.
  • In the German regions, a large number of political associations came together in the city of Frankfurt and decided to vote for an all German National Assembly.
  • On 18th May, 1848 elected representatives marched in a festive procession to take their place in the Frankfurt Parliament.
  • They drafted a constitution for a German nation to be headed by a monarchy subject to a parliament.

Reproduction by Seeds

In the wild, Hibiscus species reproduce sexually when pollen from male flowers reaches female flowers for fertilization. Wind and wildlife transfer pollen, and large, colorful flowers are adapted to attract pollinators. Birds, butterflies and bees are common visitors to hibiscus plants, but they must visit quickly after blooms open since some species' flowers last for only a day. Successful pollination results in producing seeds, which are encased in pods. Seeds of many species, such as swamp hibiscus and rose mallow, resemble those of okra, a mallow family relative. When pods mature, they dry and crack open to release seeds, which fall to the ground and germinate to make more plants.

Stamen: is a male part of the flower it has a long filament with a elongated sac like structure its tip called the enter the enter hold the Pollen sacs inside which pollen grains are found

pistil: is the female part of the flower it has a tube like structure called the style. the style is oval-shaped at the base this is the ovary the tip of the style is sticky it is called the stigma it help to attach the pollen grains during pollination

India a federal country because of the following reasons:

  • There are levels of governments—Central Government, State Government and Local Government.
  • Each level of government administers over the same region, but they have their own jurisdiction in matters of administration, taxation and legislation.
  • The Government at each level derives its power from the Constitution of the country. Thus, the Central Government cannot easily dilute the powers of the State or Local Governments.
  • The basic principles of the Constitution and the rights given to the people cannot be changed by only one tier of the Government. It requires the consent of governments at both levels.
  • Both levels of the Government can collect taxes from the people according to the guidelines of the Constitution of the country.
  • The Indian Constitution contains three lists which contain subjects in which the Union and the State Governments may form laws. Only central government can make laws in the Union List and state government in the state list. Subjects related to the interests of both Central and State Governments are included in the concurrent list.

Resource planning is a major concern in India because here resources are not distributed equally.
For example, many states have plenty of natural resources such as Arunachal Pradesh and Jharkhand, and they have mineral as well as water in their state, but they do not have other resources.
The Indian government structured the five years plans as resource planning, and they have also taken an initiative to promote their plans in the international level.

The verbs such as have and do , which are used with ordinary verbs to make tenses, passive forms, questions and negatives are called auxiliary verbs or auxiliaries. The verbs can , could , may , might , etc are used before ordinary verbs and express meanings such as permission, possibility etc. The modals such as can , could , will , must , etc are termed defective verbs because some Parts are wanting in them. They have his-s in the third person singular. They have no infinitive and -ing form. Example : The auxiliary ‘ be ‘ is used in the formation of the continuous tenses as; He is working. I was writing. The auxiliary ‘ have ‘ is used in the formation of the perfect tenses such as; He has worked. He has been working, and so on. The auxiliary ‘ shall ‘ is used in the first person and ‘ will ‘ in all persons to express pure future tense as; We will need the money on 15th, You will see that I am right. Modal Auxiliaries – Further Explanation Other helping verbs, called modal auxiliaries or modals, such as can, could, may, might, must, ought to, shall, should, will , and would , do not change form for different subjects. For instance, try substituting any of these modal auxiliaries for can with any of the subjects listed below. I can write well. You (singular) can write well. He can write well. We can write well. You (plural) They can write well. Uses of Can and Could

The epidermis cells of new roots give arise to hair like projection called root hairs through which the exchange of gases take place

Yogita Ingle 5 years, 5 months ago

Respiration in Roots:

  • Air occurs in soil interspaces. Root hairs of the roots are in direct contact with them.
  • Oxygen of the soil air diffuses through root hair and reaches all internal cells of the root for respiration.
  • Carbon dioxide produced by root cells diffuses in the opposite direction.
  • In water-logged conditions, soil air becomes deficient. In the absence of oxygen, metabolic activity of the root declines and the plant may wither

? Pranali.A.P ? 5 years, 5 months ago

The roots of a plant take up air from the spaces between the soil particles. Root hairs are in contact with the air in the soil particles. Oxygen from the air in soil particles diffuse into root hair and reach all the cells of the root where it is utilised in respiration.

A Triumph of Surgery. Summary: This story has been written by James Herriot. The subject of this story is a pet dog which is spoilt by its owner. The owner indulges her dog so much with food and other comforts that the dog has become overweight and cannot even walk properly.

Roopesh Vishwakarma 5 years, 5 months ago

The doctor, James Herriot, is really worried. Tricki had become very fat. He looks like a bloated sausage. His eyes are red and rheumy. Mrs. Pumphrey is the mistress of the dog. She has given him malt and cod-liver oil and a bowl of Horlicks every night. But nothing works. James Herriot realizes that Tricki’s only fault was greed for food. Dr. James Herriot advises Mrs. Pumphrey that she must cut Tricki’s food right down. She must give the dog some exercise. She must keep him on a very strict diet. Otherwise, he will fall ill. Within a few days, Dr. Herriot receives a call from Mrs. Pumphrey. She tells him that Tricki doesn’t eat and has bouts of vomiting. He only lies down on the rug panting. The doctor advises her that Tricki needs to be hospitalized for a fortnight. He is to be kept under observation. At the Surgery, the household dogs surge around Tricki. He sees them lying motionless. A bed for Tricki is made in a warm loose box. For two days, no food is given to him but plenty of water. On the second day, he starts taking some interest in his surroundings. On the third day, he begins to whimper when he hears the dog in the yard. Tricki starts taking a walk around the bowls licking casually inside one or two of them. Tricki’s progress is rapid. He has no medical treatment of any kind. He runs about the dogs joining their friend-ly barkings. He starts fighting for his share of food and hunts rats at night. Dr. Herriot tells Mrs. Pumphrey that Tricki is not in danger and recovering rapidly. Mrs. Pumphrey starts bringing eggs, two dozen at a time to build up his strength. Wine and brandy are given to improve Tricki’s constitution. The doctor informs that Tricki has recovered and Mrs. Pumphrey can collect him. Within two weeks, Tricki has been transformed into a flexible, hard-muscled animal. He is stretching out in great bounds. When Tricki sees his mistress, he leaps and sails into her lap. As the car moves away, Mrs. Pumphrey leans out of the window. Her lips tremble and tears shine in her eyes. She says, “Oh, Mr. Herriot, how can I ever thank you? This is a triumph of surgery!”

Given f(x) = 5y^2 - 7y + 1.

Given that a,b be the zeros of the polynomial.

We know that sum of zeroes = -b/a

= > a + b = -(-7/5)

= > a + b = 7/5.

We know that product of zeroes = c/a

= > ab = 1/5

Now,

= > 1/a + 1/b = (a + b)/ab

                    = (7/5) * (5/1)

                    = 7/1

                    = 7.
