Linear magnification produced by a spherical mirror is the ratio of the size of the image formed by the mirror so that of the size of the object.

⇒ m= I / O

where, I = Image size

And, O = Object size

It asically tells how big or small an image is when compared to the size of the corresponding object. The size or dimensions are measured as either height or length.

All the three sectors are highly interdependent on each other:

(i) All that is produced in the primary sector is of no use until it undergoes a change into finished product which is not possible without transportation.

(ii) Secondary sector is the manufacturing sector. To make these products and to sell them in the market, we need transportation.

(iii) For moving from primary to secondary sector and further to the market, requires services of trades at different places and require many other services. For all this we cannot think of working without transportation.

2x + 3y = 7
2ax + (a + b) y = 28

If two equations has infinite solutions, then,

a1 / a2 = b1 / b2 = c1 /c2

2 / 2a = 3 / a+b = -7 / -28

1/a = 3/a+b = 1/4

Now,

1/a = 1/4
a = 4

And

3/a+b = 1/4

12 = 4 + b
12 - 4 = b
b = 8

Thus,

a = 4
b = 8

So, b = 2a

Hence, option (b) is correct.

Do not focus on lots of sample papers. One sample paper fr each subject is provided by CBSE in November or December. Just solve them. If you want to practice more questions of maths than solve questions of RD Sharma. For other subjects just study NCERT. No need to study anything else for other subjects.

Transpiration is the biological process by which water is lost in the form of water vapour from the aerial parts of the plants.

The significance of transpiration is explained below:

  1.  Transpiration helps in the conduction of water and minerals to different parts of the plants.
  2. Due to the continuous elimination of water from the plant body, there is a balance of water maintained within the plant.
  3.  It maintains osmosis and keeps the cells rigid.
  4.  A suction force is created by transpiration that helps in the upward movement of water in the plants.
  5. Certain hydrophilic salts are accumulated on the surface of the leaves, which keeps the leaves moist.
  6. It maintains the turgidity of the cells and helps in cell division.
  7. Optimum transpiration helps in the proper growth of the plants.
  8. The cooling effect of a tree is due to the evaporation of water from its leaves.

Using the lens formula; -1/u+1/v=1/f

rearranging, 1/v=1/18-1/27=1/54

hence 1/v=1/54.

To get the position of the image, V, find the reciprocal of 1/54.

Hence, v=54cm.

To obtain the size and nature of image,

use magnifcation formula; hi=V/u*h=54/-27*4=-8.0cm.

Therefore, size of image is 8cm.

Nature=virtual image.
